Maybe the fans are getting fed up on the North side for once. Has Charlie Sheen had a positive influence on someone? #Winning :lmao:

1) bad team

2) economy is bad, it isnt just the fans here that are feeling the bad economy, but the tourists as well are staying home. Corporations are not sending workers on business trips anymore as that has taken a 42% drop from last year. so you arent getting out of town workers checking out wrigley as well.

This is another reason why i think Ricketts will have to spend money this offseason to show Cub fans he wants to win. I really think with Ricketts cutting payroll and raising ticket prices it turned the Cub fans off. I realize he paid alot for team and has high payroll but fans are sick of tired of losing and wont pay to see bad team. For him to make money fans have to show up and fans will only show up when winning so he better put winner on the field

So be like the Dodgers and try to live several million dollars in debt without fixing it before being taken over by the MLB?

LAD was cause of a divorce. Nothing to do with MLB part of things. LAD has people showing up to games all the time. You honestly see Cub fans paying top dollar to see a rebuilding team? if so then u be the only one there next year

I've only been to one game... but lowering ticket prices and raising payroll isn't going to get us out of debt.

Meh still 5th in the NL in terms of attendance. Bad economy, poorly performing team it makes sense.

If they aren't going to the game at Wrigley maybe they are going to Sox games instead?

If Ricketts raises payroll to make team better i have no problem the ticket prices if they raise. I have a problem paying higher ticket prices when he cuts payroll by 12 mil + like he did this year. Hes not in debt just cause of the transaction it looks like it on paper. Even MLB came out and said its all due to the sale.

Doesn't matter. We will be compared to the Dodgers for a while now, just because of a stupid report.... but what can ya do.

nice shot.

The sox dont really have to worry about their finances by the way, ownership with JR is pretty damn solid as far as financial backing. He isnt just the owner of the sox and bulls, he is involved in many businesses. JR is much more stable financially and is indeed more liquid.

but hey, its all about the popularity contest.

Il take my 1 2005 championship over hot chicks in the bleachers, sell outs, wrigleyville and ronnie woo woo

I actually think Ricketts was very happy about the report cause now he can use as an excuse. Before report fans saying they need to spend money to win now, now they saying we have to cut money to get out of debt.
