Dude improved on his errors, improved his hitting, etc. They aren't trading him away.

I agree with this. Don't look to trade a known commodity for a couple pretty unknowns. If Addison Russell is the real deal/shows tremendous consistency by June 2016, THEN you start to consider trading Castro.

Till then, why trade a guy who's just going to make a hole?

And Brett's right, you may get one pitching prospect of note. And its probably going to be from the Mets. I hear they still have the biggest want for Starlin.

It depends if they would move Bryant to LF.

To be honest here they need more than 1 guy this offseason. The highest priority is a TOR. Lester should command 150 mil. After that they need a LH stick to split up the middle of the order. It is going to come down to $$$ on that decision. Panda IMO will out price the Cubs here. They would be better off going after Cabrera who should cost 50 mil tops and keep Bryant at 3B.

The team would look like:
CF: Alcantara SH
SS: Castro RH
1B: Rizzo LH
3B: Bryant RH
RF: Soler RH
LF: Cabrera SH
2B: Baez RH
C: Castillo RH

Having a potential 30 HR guy hitting #7 is a luxury most teams don't have. Not to mention if he hits .230 he really is not killing run production.

Panda IMO would target higher if the Cubs lose out on Lester and have to makeshift a rotation.

If they only get one, then its seriously needs to be a can't miss starting pitching prospect. No more of these B grade pitchers.

"Stumbles"? Horrible?

Yes, I agree. he simply can't field a ball to his left or right without falling to all fours.

2B his UZR150 was 6.4. 3B -4.9. He is better at 2B by far.

"potential" is the key word

I agree. Scarry thing is in 660 PA's. 4% HR's is 26.4. 35% SO is 231. That I believe is his floor in a full season.
