Clevenger hitting 6th is interesting. If I am not mistaken that is the highest a Cubs catcher has batted in the lineup for Sveum. I wonder if Clevenger is starting to play himself into a more 50-50 split of catching duties.

That would probably not do wonders for Geo's trade value.

No it wouldn't but I find it interesting with all the other starters in the lineup Clevenger is hitting higher in the lineup than Geo has at this point. Just seems like an early peak into how Sveum is viewing his two catchers. I am sure that Geo is still going to get the bulk of playing time for now. Just was something interesting to keep an eye on.

Might have something to do with the fact that Clevenger is smaller and faster than a typical catcher too. Not really sure what the deal is, but maybe he just decided "my team sucks, so what the hell"

He doesn't even have to do that when he's around Ozzie. He just spontaneously shoots off at random intervals.

I put this on Twitter first. He replied 'I did'. At least he, unlike a ginger Score employee, takes stuff in stride.

How does he still have a job in Chicago?

Safe to say Byrd is the most worthless Cub on this roster
