I can't believe Ramirez is still batting clean up. He couldn't hit his way out of a wet paper bag with RISP.

Who do you put there? Only other guy i think of would be Sori but Cubs love him lower in lineup

Put one of the kids there. Barney or Montanez can't be any worse than Ramirez there. The clean up hitter doesn't necessarily have to "clean the bases," but an RBI base hit would be nice.

Cubs pitching just throwing batting practice now.

We're going to get shutout today and swept tomorrow by the Pirates.

How would you have like to be one of those people who popped for his family of 4 to see today's Cub game. Probably cost him around $500 to see a game that was a total farce from beginning to end and in damp, chilly weather to boot. Shut out by Paul "Don't call me Hall of Famer" Maholm whose ERA vs the Cubs is about 1.00 but probably about 7.00 against everyone else. But hey, not to worry....Super GM Hendry just picked up the latest addition from the Old Folks Home, Rodrigo Lopez. That should put them over the top.....

This officially ended any hope for me for the Cubs...for me to have any hope i wanted 7-2 home stand against 3 bad teams. We already 97% sure they sucked but these 5 games made it 100%

Why am I a Cubs fan...?

They are a walking punch line.

Heres to hoping they pull out 1 from this series.

Maybe the Cubs can luck out and the game will get cancelled. This way they spare them selves the embarrassment of getting swept.

No, they'd still be swept, but in a 2 game series.

Back to back, two out walks by Dempster. This probably won't end well.

EDIT: Dempster couldn't find the strike zone with a map.

EDIT2: I was right. Two out, two run double by Overbay.
