If CUtler is out and Clausen starts, is FOx making a good decision? Be honest and think outside of the box. Is Fox making a good decision?

No.... No one thinks Jimmy Clausen starting is a good option.... cept for maybe SashaBanks.... would rather see David Fales get a start.

What does Cutler caring or crying or being an all around great guy have to do with not being a good QB?

First 5 posters in this thread are every bit as obnoxious as the delusional haters. Thank jeebsus for the Cutler subforum cause all you bleeding cunts deserve each other.

Unfortunately I know exactly how the Cutler fiasco will end.

1 - Eventually his contract becomes cutable
2 - Bears cut Cutler, haters rejoice
3 - Team has horrible play from the QB spot for 5+ years
4 - Haters look back and think "Maybe Cutler wasn't that bad afterall..."

I agree I think that's exactly how it goes. I always liked Cutler and part of me still wants too, I just wish he could step up his game. Just doesn't look like he will. But this is probably how it goes when he leaves

1. Bears cut Jay after 2015 season.
2. Draft Goff/Cook/whoever with 1st pick.
3. Bears finally gets consistently respectable play form QB spot for next 10+ years.
4. Fanboys look back and realize how Special person they were to be obsessed with a bum like Cutler.

Yup, pretty much hitting the nail on the head there. When you compare your QB to the likes of Rodgers, Manning, Brady and Brees you will always say they suck. Ultimately most QBs are average except for the top 5.

Just means we keep trying to get a elite QB over and over again until one sticks. Duh. If it takes another 100 years so be it.

Good article.

Thought Cutler didn't care?

Fuckin morons.

Sounds like that ARP machine he uses is no fucking joke.

it's not a joke. in fact, it hurts! it's called an ARP Wave machine, two currents working on opposing muscle groups (agonist and antagonist), causing them to, in essence, co-contract. this therapy, said to speed healing, is also used to increase muscle strength and tone.

I get it. You are a hater. There's no shame in that and I honestly feel you are partially right in the way you feel. The issue is this draft doesn't have a franchise guy. Saying Goff/Cook/whoever will be better is like saying Clausen will be better (which we all know isn't the case). I'd make an argument this draft class doesn't have a prospect that's in the Winston/Mariota conversation, let alone someone who can provide 'consistently respectable play from the QB spot for teh next 10+ years.

If only it were this simple. The bears would seemingly never have a QB issue.

Or Bears draft Goff/Cook and have McNown 2.0.

Or we stick with Jay who has 1 playoff victory in10 years and has led the league in turnovers and is the highest paid player on the team. Makes tons of sense to me.

obviously cutler is not an elite qb like the few everybody knows so i need not mention names.

but maybe, just maybe... cutler is a very good quarterback and the bears suffered from a great defensive coach that never put competent offensive minds in place (i guess you can argue there was 2010 with martz, though wasn't that the year with all of the sacks?). the bears absolutely suffered from the lack of regularly drafting offensive talent. and we all know what the emery/trestman era was.

cutler is a big boy who has made millions and doesn't need anonymous message board posters defending him. but in my mind it is a bit of a shame that when competent coaches are finally around him it is probably too late. the timing is awful because the team is rebuilding. there really aren't strong feelings toward cutler in this city any longer because we all expect him to be gone by the end of the 2016 season. it would make sense that cutler was emotional after he got hurt, the offense was looking very good and he suffered another setback, at a time when most people weren't really that invested to begin with, and further cements the team as a last place team that needs to move on. [that last sentence being said, i have no idea if cutler was actually emotional and i may be projecting a bit here]

i'll look back at the cutler era as a time when one of the best quarterbacks i have seen in a bears uniform never had the team and supporting staff strong enough to get past the packers.

and the 60 year old lady in accounting hears the name cutler during conversation and says "oh he's just awful, he's got to go" without knowing a single other player's name on the team and just repeating whatever nonsense the media was babbling about because of his apparently offensive facial expressions.

whatever. in the end hopefully we get a high draft pick, land a stud of a qb, and the bears have a decade of dominance. chicago will be happy and cutler will still have his hot wife and millions
