I completely agree. I also don't think he'll win 7 Super Bowls, be 2nd all time in passing yards, 1st in passing TDs but he looks legit!

I am pretty sure that if a team is to sign a player off waivers, they have to have him on the active 53 for a period of time.

Additionally, once a player clears waivers, they are FA's. So, Technically, another team could also sign them to their practice squad. it's rare, but it does happen.

As bad as the lions wr corp is; they actually kept 0 kickers on their 53.
