I can see that and you need to make your supestar think you can trust him. If they can get him for a 1 year, 2-3M. I would do it. I also can see it happening because T'Mac said he would like to join the Bulls.

I'm not sure about T-Mac. I like him, but I don't know how he'd fit with the Bulls. Sam Smith thinks it's a bad idea. Anyway, I'm not even sure if he's 100% healthy. I don't want him to get signed to the Bulls, then he ends up getting injured all over again. His body is obviously not the same. He might not add to the chemistry of the team. Rose wouldn't mind having him though.

No problem with signing him to a VERY modest 1-2 year deal even if it's for a bit more than the minimum, and with the understanding that he's getting backup minutes at the 2 and 3 spots, not starter minutes. C'mon down, T-Mac!

Really? I think he will. He really doesn't have much leverage

Agreed...his best argument right now would be,

"DUDE! Did you see that first game I played for the Knicks? I went OFF! I mean, we lost, I think...or maybe...nevermind...but that game, I was INSANE! Dude...I can bring that every night. If you offered JJ Redick $7M a year, I'm worth more than that...that Dukie cracker couldn't cover my jock if I was healt.....wait...I mean...he's good, but I don't think he can guard me...when...Just sign me! Your PG wants me!"

Lol Give us McGrady. Redick can play a decent overall game, no doubt. Thing is..I just want a back-up guard that will add exactly what we need.

We should add McGrady. He may be a big star in Rose's eyes...but we should, as fans, look it over & hope McGrady's ready to join the team if given the oppotunity.

If Sam Smith thinks it's a bad idea then I am all for it.

I think Tmac is at the point in his career where he would be willing to defer to Rose as the star and focus more on creating things for Rose and Boozer, which we know he can do. If he is willing to take a back seat then it would be excellent for team chemistry. He is very good and creating for other players when he wants to and that role would probably also put a lot less wear on him.

another reason i want him. he can be a play maker for everyone else.

i hope T Mac CAN take a lesser role because at this point he is just a starter at that....but he is still a great player and playmaker and hopefully wont take the spotlight away from rose and noah and boozer who are the best players on the team

I'd like to think T-Mac wont be stupid enough to try and take the team as his. He's got no room for supreme leadership over anyone on this team.

Still gotta say, I would like him to join this team.

Yeah, I can't say I've read one Sam Smith article and not been annoyed by it. He seems to hate everyone and bashes everyone the Bulls are in talks with to sign. Every time the Bulls post his crap articles, I have to hope that those players don't read Bulls.com and be turned off because of the crap he's always saying about all potential free agents.

Anyway, I'd want T-Mac too. I don't see there being any real negatives for it besides this assumption he's going to be a chemistry killer. He seems eager to join, Rose likes him, and he wants to win.

Sounds like it's unlikely that the Bulls will sign him, wonder who they'll sign since they still need another perimeter defender at SG.

Tracy McGrady has a seriously tough decision to make...

He either has to come to terms that he is no longer the superstar he once was & his skills have depleted..

OR

Live in this fantasy world that has his calender saying it's 2002.

None of the top teams in the league will take him on as a starter. Everybody else needing a starting shooting guard is who he should have been focused on signing with. The Bulls I'm sure the FO didn't care that they were the one's to have to break the news to him that he is not a top player anymore.

I'm still a T-Mac fan...but if he's not fit for this team. On to the next one...
