He doesn't need to kiss his ass. He could have put in a real effort. He didn't. He needs to realize that it's not a 1 star league.
Rose actually seems to like his team. It's mainly the fans and media that keep looking for upgrades. Rose and the guys seem to believe that they will improve their game over the summer. While it seems like the fans wants him to beg or "ask" players to come.

I keep thinking about how the Magic were in the ECF in 2010, then with the very same itchy trigger finger, they made a bunch of questionable trades to shut the fans up because everyone was in panic mode over the Heat forming.
Hmmmm... can we learn from history here? Maybe? Maybe not?
