Caleb Williams goes to Arizona State? When did he transfer there?
Jordan let me help you out.

Bryce Young is only a highly regarded prospect because he went to Alabama. Not because any good.

He's the next QB in a long line of QBs who will be failures in the NFL after playing at Alabama.

Between Ohio State USC and Alabama those three programs have churned out numerous QBs over the last 25 years. None of them have been any good.

The best of all of the QBs to come out of Alabama USC and Ohio State has been Carson Palmer. Are we to believe Bryce Young is going to be better than all of the QBs drafted out of those three schools?

Jalen Hurts went to Alabama and is a pretty damn good QB. Joe Burrow went to Ohio St and is a pretty damn good QB.

If you believe this then you also believe Hunter Biden ,The Big Guy & Ukraine are corruption free.
You might also believe Ukraine is dreamland like Disney and Zelensky (who is really a Nazi) is a terrific guy.
Imagine being so much of an insufferable **** and a dumb ass, that bringing politics into shit that isn't political is your entire personality.

I genuinely pity people that have to interact with you.

So you think Williams will be a bust because he plays at USC then?

Possibly. Honestly if I were them id just take stroud. I'm not sold that young has that much upside over him. Plus you're not losing pieces in a trade that you need with a bad roster.
And if you were Pace, you would have been willing to risk losing Trubisky by not trading up.

But you are not Pace nor are you the Texans. All it takes is for the GM to fall in love with a QB for the gm to be willing to give up picks to move up. It happened with Pace. It might happen with the Texans.

Well it sounds like how general manager staff’s spend their time. If I remember correctly Ryan Poles said he and his team went through hundreds of mock drafts last spring to prepare.

That's why they were shocked they got Brisker where they did. So maybe the Bears GM is just as clueless. Or maybe nobody really understands how this stuff works.
I don't think expert/reporter mocks should be compared to that even if both are mocks. That said, I wonder if Cunningham had a hand in that. Eagles have been drafting well of late.

So you think Williams will be a bust because he plays at USC then?
Probably.

He's overrated because he went to USC.

You have to look at it from a historical context. USC has had 16 QBs drafted into the NFL and the best one they've ever produced is Carson Palmer, who has similar career numbers to Jay Cutler. So you have all of these QBs that come out of a historically hyped and successful program and none of these guys turn out to be any good.

Alabama has had 15 QBs drafted Joe Namath is in the Hall of Fame. The rest?

Same thing with Ohio State. Historic program many QBs drafted complete failures.

Who would you rather have? Bryce Young or Caleb Williams?

Would anyone be wowed with Bryce Young if he went to Arizona State?
Probably. He's only a top 20 recruit of all time coming out of high school.

sorry but hating on QBs because of where they played college ball isn't going to help your "writing" career.

He started a thread about Lamar Jackson being traded to the Commanders and implied we should do the same with Fields to save money, LOL. Then deleted.

I don’t remember as many ohio state qbs being a top pick. But Joe Burrow has had success.
The Alabama statement is demonstrably false. Hurts finished second in the mvp race, was a half away from winning a Super Bowl. Tua was in MVP conversations until he was injured. Mac Jones regressed this year with injuries but was considered the best qb of his class in his rookie year.

People made the same argument with Oklahoma qbs winning heisman’s until Murray did well last season.

I think football rapidly changes, especially in the transfer portal era, and that the school argument seems more like superstition than serious analysis on an individual player.

I’m pretty sure LSU players were never special prior to Burrow as well. Didn’t Kenny “the Snake” Stabler go to Alabama??

Burrow developed at LSU.

Tua Tagavaiola is garbage, Mitch Trubisky was a Pro Bowl QB are you going to prop him up too?

Way to grasp at straws bud but that's how you roll.

Poor attempt at a smoke screen by Houston.

They aren't letting a blue chip pick pass without taking a QB.

If any team knows you can never count on having the #1 pick next year it would be the Texans. Thank you Lovie.
