The best cb in the draft went to Philly in the 20s last year. Two years ago the best corner in the draft went to NE at like 17. Qb, wr, ol and edge always get over drafted.

Also combine is somewhat meaningless. Senior bowl/shrine bowl can have a big impact, as well as any off field incidents over the next few months

Combine definitely isn’t meaningless as that’s where the medicals happen.

That’s entirely different though. And Gonzalez wasn’t considered the best DB in 2022, Witherspoon was and he went at #5(and is the better DB). It was a weaker draft last year at DB and the draft was WR/QB/OL crazy which is why Mitchell didn’t go until 21(Mitchell is much lower rated than DB Johnson out of Michigan). Each draft is different but I’d be shocked if Johnson falls to #15.
