Happy about this. If it wasn't the Bears, I wanted the Pats to grab him. Only 1 year though? odd.

maybe your team and coaches just sucked? everyone sucked once they joined da dream team LOL.

I'm not arguing about the coaching, but he's been inconsistent from the get go. His best tape is still his first two years in Arizona and since the the good has been les and less.

Remember he was traded to the Eagles and a second for Kolb... Arizona was not in love with the guy despite some amazing plays.

The guys who have watched all his tape (PFF) have rated his pass D as follows.

2008 +3.1
2009 +16.8
2010 -5.9
2011 -4.5
2012 +2.9
2013 +11.5

So this year according to the tape was his best since his 2nd year. Maybe it will be an anomaly or maybe he simply has put it all together now.

Maybe he played behind a better front 7 than he had in the recent past

I said yesterday that Revis and Peppers seemed like Patriots signings. One down.

It's been known for a while that the Patriots were going to target Revis.

And Peppers to New England was speculated heavily before he came to Chicago. He didn't want to play in a 3-4, but now the Pats play a 4-3 and their needs at pass rusher are still there.

correction, Pats went from top 10 CB to one of the greatest of all time as long as he is fully recovered. He was <1 year removed from an ACL and still played at an elite level. I'd take pre-ACL Revis over Sherman easily. He never had a great pass rush or safety help. He was the motor of the Jets D. Legitimately took away A whole side of the field.

Fact. 2009 Revis was one of the best seasons any corner had.

That's a possibility as well. Haven't checked who had the better front 7 over those years.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Michigan Wolverines
You think the bears should have signed him for 12 mil instead of trying to get d lineman?
I would be happy with Houston and Revis, and I think Revis signs for a little less than $12 mil if he gets more years and money guaranteed.

Winning Free Agency does not mean anything. 2013 Dolphins "won" free agency, same with 2011 Eagles... that sure worked out.
