Barney was the better defender at 2B by the eye test and the stats test. I'm surprised Phillips didn't win though.

And Phillips has been taking shots about the Gold Glove since mid-season saying that the only reason Barney makes less errors is because he didn't have any range to make errors on, which just about every stat you can look at and the eye test suggest otherwise. And what Barney said wasn't a shot at all, in any form.
