With the exception of TJ I suggest you all take a very long fucking walk on Navy Pier.

Worthless bunch of turds. But thanks anyway.

You should know what to expect by now when asking a question like this.

Personally, I always just go to TripAdvisor.com whenever I travel someplace new.

They are a young couple with a newborn but want to stay somewhere fairly hip with restaurants, nightlife but still close to everything. Since it has been 20 years since I have been to Chicago can you guys help us out with some suggestions? They want to be able to walk to things like Navy Pier, the museums and all the hip places young people go which I would assume includes Rush street.
What do they like to eat?

Do they like craft beer?

Are they museum people?

What else do they like to do?

Also: Rush Street, as a guy who ubers and is around there often, isn't exactly the place for a young couple. I'd suggest Southport Ave.

More details please...are they into food, craft beer or cocktails, sports fans, museum? I know nothing of bars but know the restaurant scene pretty well.

They are into just being tourists. I suggested the Science museum. Sounds like Navy Pier is a good spot for Wed night. They enjoy good food as long as it is priced ok. I totally forgot about Lincoln park zoo and the aquarium.

Son in law is really into craft beers

Navy Pier and the Museum of Science and Industry are over 8 miles apart. S&I is not a walking destination unless you are staying in Hyde Park.

Chicago, beautiful place to go for a young couple where you always see lovers holding hands... up. Went last year with my daughter, for her traveling basketball team and one of the other parents in the group got mugged. She called the cops and was told if it's not a crime in progress, they don't have time for it cause they're too busy. All pitched in to get that parent a ticket back home to NY where it's nice and safe.

Desbro would tell you Pequods and he would be right, but that is far away from river north/mich ave/navy pier.

If they want to stay in that area Malnati's is a solid choice, Pizzeria Uno is the cliche pick for tourists, but still good pizza. Same thing for Pizzeria Due. Gino's East, these are all obvious main stream places, other guys will tell you about the lesser know more trendy places.

They were really psyched about this tour until they discovered they have to buy a full price ticket for a month old baby.

Sounds like a carry on situation.

Was this one of those cases where the criminals forced vaccines on their victims?

Wonder if it is because my daughters name is Gwen

Pretty steep for my tastes. Gotta be a HI express somewhere close:)
