Michael Thomas is another option. Hasn't played much the last couple years. I assume NO will cut him. Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, Keenan Allen, and Brandon Cooks are all potential options to look at on the trade market for the right price.

forget thomas, he cant stay on the field...allen is like another hopkins, too old to bring on board unless they are being asked to be like the 3rd/4th option. As for jeudy and sutton, unless patton is throwing in the towel on wilson i dont see them going anywhere.

New owners might bring in their own gm if they are getting a new coach. I'd think Denver would at least listen on either. Allen, Hopkins, Thomas should all be more reasonable because of their contracts/age/injuries.

i think this was paton's first HC hire, usually GM's get a second HC hire before being shown the door. i'm not so sure hackett gets fired at the end of this yea...he hasn't lost his players or has crazy drama or something...paton was the one to get the wilson deal done so more than likely paton will get another HC hire by new ownership if they choose to walk away so soon, being too quick to dismiss has typically not worked out well unless its just really bad but i've not seen anything to that extent...and not to mention paying double salaries so early on for GM's and HC's...

i expect poles to build the WR room through the draft and free agency not via trades unless its a one piece away from seriously contending type of situation

I realize Hopkins wouldn’t be a long-term solution to the WR room, but he’s an instant upgrade.

The Cardinals traded a 2nd and a 4th round pick for him 2 years ago. Given his age, recent PED suspension, and contract situation - I was thinking his trade value might be a middle round pick (3rd or 4th).

He might be a good veteran for some young guys, similar to how Robinson was influential to Mooney.

I’d be all over Michael Thomas if the Saints cut him but they’d take on something like 25 mil in dead cap so I doubt they go that route.

The most realistic path towards upgrading the WR corp is through the draft. Likely rounds 1 or 2

Would they want to come to Chicago to die though?

Solid NO on DeAndre. Word is he doesn't practice and avoids practice at all costs. Luckily for him those costs haven't been much but he's no example for the youngin's and doesn't fit with Floose's HITS philosophy. Plus he old. And he got that weird ass octopus-on-the-head hair do.

If the deal was similar to the Amari Cooper trade this year (a 5th round pick), I'd be all over it. I'm not giving up anything meaningful for a 31 year old WR on the decline. That said, I think he's got at least another year of high caliber play in him, and if you can get him for cheap, he'd be a perfect fit. I think Fields could really use an established vet to throw to.

The Bills brought in a vet WR in Allen’s second year. We should, too. I wouldn’t give up a pick in a trade for a Wr. **** that. Send them Herbert. Use the 5th on his replacement. We would be eating a shit ton of dinero.

I’d like Keenan Allen, the unicorn of slot receivers, but I won’t be upset if we get Hopkins. There’s no reason to send a draft pick if we can send an easily replaceable player.

You keep suggesting Khalil Herbert as if he had any trade value. News flash: he doesn’t.

Has he missed any significant time at all over his career ? I don't think so. He was one, if not the best WR in the nfl . I love hopkins. I don't know how much I would be willing to give up, someone mentioned a 4th, MAYBE the extra 4th (not ours). I feel like he will have a Larry FItzgerald type career in terms of length, probably entering his last few good years.

PEDs lol. RE: his practice, I have no idea but the guy puts in work on game day that's really all I care about.

You aren’t getting a guy in his prime that’s obvious. But it will open up the field for all the other players who really and it’s painfully obvious can’t do it on their own. For his type of talent you will have competition so prob cost a 2 or 3. I guess to me with his salary can you fit that and extensions to claypool and Mooney? Or do you let them go?

rn I would give the edge to claypool because they gave up so much to get him. Even before Mooney's injury, I wasn't convinced they were sold on him. I am a huge Mooney fan too, I think he is a great WR2 but that's really all you get out of him it's obvious.

You think Poles is going to toss another high pick away for another wr? Not happening.
