Broussards trade update

Since posting the Bulls/Clippers trade rumor, I've spoken with officials from both clubs. Some thought it made a lot of sense, but the one with the most juice said it's not going to happen. He said the Bulls have talked with several clubs, including the Clippers, but that in the end they will end up keeping their 17th pick. Posturing? We'll see.

ESPN's Chad Ford casts more doubt that this is a likely scenario in his chat on Thursday: "Would be a good deal for both teams, but I'm told the Clippers aren't interested. If it was just Deng for a second rounder ... maybe."

Deng for a 2nd and we keep our 17th? Id really consider that.

Maybe Mardy Collins and the 2nd round pick for Deng. My thought.

It would be almost the same trade the heat did.

Not really. The Heat gave up their pick and a guy who makes about 2M and just a spot up 3pt shooter.

With that being said i dont see why the Clippers would do this and not the other. Yeah the 8th pick plays a factor but ultimately you would think Louls contract is the biggest factor.

I still think it is because that would just be a salary dump like whatb the Heat did. And the Bulls could get more for Dend if they weren't clearing space for Deng.

Yeah, they both have the same goal, to dump salaries but the deals arent really the same considering the Bulls would keep their 1st and send a much bigger contract and team piece.

Well yeah, I was just pretty much talking about taking less just for cap reasons.
