Oh, I did not know that.

Yeah, Somers twitter blew up during the game with fans wanting answers on it. Somers commented on Anderson "yucking it up" and basically tried to white knight for some idiots that commented on his twitter. The guy has a long time to sit and think if the question needed to be asked or was even relevant. IMO he chose to stir the pot on purpose.

Did Anderson need to blow up? No. But if Somers is even half the football fan/reporter he claims to be he knows guys chuckle on the sidelines a lot during wins and losses. What Anderson did wasn't rare and Somers knows better. To put Anderson on the spot for it is inexcusable and irresponsible. Is Somers going to call out a guy the next time he sees him laughing in the locker room after a loss? Or the next time he sees a player smile on the sideline and the camera doesn't catch it is Somers going to point it out and put the player on the hot seat? I doubt it.

Somers saw a chance to insert himself into a (non) story, get some pub, be a "man of the people", and bring attention to himself. It's pathetic "journalism".

I feel Anderson was embarrassed and took it out on the reporter. For example f he busted his ass like he said he does why hasn't he improved?

Because Anderson had one fluke season and relatively speaking Anderson isn't that good to begin with. Just because he hasn't improved doesn't mean he isn't working hard.

He didn't have a fluke season, he had the same type of year that Rex Grossman had the year prior. He came on the scene making big deep ball plays and light up the scoreboard... Just like Rex the second half Derek Anderson sucked, just nationally it wasn't scrutinized because he at least still had 2 high end receiving weapons. Teams figured out DA's weakness quickly that he couldn't throw an accurate short pass to win a game.

This according to some Cardinal's fans is a trend to see DA laughing on the sideline, so the reporter had his good mind to ask it, especially if it's what the fans want to know about the ongoing thing.

Is it dumb yes, but it's relatively no different than the Chicago media constantly wondering about Jay Cutler's sideline gestures and body language. Just if a reported has asked Jay about it he isn't foolish and gonna flip out like DA.

BTW: Rex Grossman busted his ass too, they just aren't starting QB material because they aren't complete quarterbacks. They are both extremely flawed.

Nothing you said proves that the season wasn't a fluke......In fact you explained why the season was a fluke and not indicitive of the type of QB he truly is.

No I'm pointing out it was more fa fluke half season. Giving him credit for those multiple games he blew in the second half is a shame to the Browns. By not being able to complete simple passes he blew 3 close games they lost and really just one first down the 4th quarter against Pittsburgh was all they needed for those games to be sealed, the Steelers played off coverage to stop downfield attacks but every short pass was at the ankles of his targets.

Don't underestimate the Hania!
