hopefully rose and deng both worked on their 3 pt shooting this summer, so we'll have so decent outside shooting. adding brewer and t-mac makes rose, deng, and korver our outside threats.

That C.J. Watson guy is pretty good also...

Bulls point guard Derrick Rose believes free-agent swingman Tracy McGrady would be a good fit for the team.

"I think that if he comes along he can help our team," Rose said Friday. "A player like him, with his experience and how he plays, I think he'll help us."

McGrady's effectiveness will depend on his left knee. He had microfracture surgery about a year and a half ago.

"If he just gives us half of what he's got, we'll be all right," Rose said. "He'll definitely help us if he gets on the team.

"He was good, and he was my favorite player when I was in sixth or seventh grade and he came into the league. Then in high school, that's when LeBron [James] came, and he was my favorite player then. Now, I'm my own favorite player

what credentials do you have that consent to your questioning of Kurt Thomas and Derrick Rose?

In spite of Hinrich, it's a great idea to sign Mcgrady, who claims he's healthier than the alter-ego that scored 26 against Durant after a 26 game hiatus last year.

the deal is rumored to be two years. What's the risk? Thibodeau obviously approves of him to the extent Bulls are evaluating him.

The risk is the same here as in Houston...where he was no longer welcomed. He is not going to quietly play under 20 minutes a game. And from what the rumors are, he is still not 100%.

Listen to his post workout statements and you can tell that he believes he can "lead" this team to the next level. A level he has yet to get to himself.

That said, I am anxious to see what the Bulls do...

they pass and let mcgrady sign with some other team. If they do a non guaranteed one year contract that mcgrady would be Special person to agree to, i dont mind the signing.

Assuming he still thinks he's all that, a non guaranteed deal is the only way I'd take him. I think management would be wise to do the same.

According to Sam Smith, we're probably not going to sign him.

Bulls brass was not impressed by his workout & I doubt his big mouth really helped matters either. The people who witnessed the workout said he shot the ball well but his lateral movement & quickness were not good & neither was his conditioning. For a guy who's been bragging all month that he's fully healthy & in great shape, it seems apparent he's just been blowing smoke up everyone's asses.

More than likely we target Bogans or Mason Jr. now.

What a shame, not getting TMac. I was looking forward to a first round playoff exit.

Maybe they take a chance on the guy but I saw no humility from him. No willingness to take a back seat, though he supposedly looked horrible in the workouts. I guess he didn't think so.

I will say this. All problems on the wings are solved as much as feasibly possible if Deng steps back a few feet and hits 30-35 percent of his threes on a regular basis...that will help out a lot.

Hou, I'd still take a shot if he's healthy. If it doesn't work out you just cut him. But I don't think he is healthy so its rather mute. Its a shame his career got cut short.

In hindsight, I think McGrady had a game plan when he spoke to the media. Act as if he is still the man. It didn't come across well but with the words he said, its obvious that he was painting himself metaphorically to Malone joining the Sixers or something. It just didn't work.
