Derrick Rose must be the MVP because he's the only Bulls all-star

watching the game last night sucked. I wanted the magic to win, so the bulls would be the 2nd seed. The magic fought back! lebron was just too good.

His age has nothing to do with it. If he's played at that level, he deserves the award.

Dirk (1), LeBron (2), Dwight (3) and Kevin Durant (4)

Dirk, okay.

lebron? No. He's one two already and aside from a few good games, he's been pretty average. Plus, playing with Wade cancels him out.

Dwight? His team is worse than last year and he isn't getting them more wins.

Durant? Just no. Westbrook has out played him on numerous occasions this year and has more of an impact on the team than Durant's jump shooting free throw parade.

Rose? Has not had a fully healthy team, battled nagging injuries, and still has his team top 4 overall in the league. The Bulls are on pace for at least 55-57 wins, a 14-16 game improvement over last season and as mentioned before, not having his full compliment of players and dealing with Kieth Bogans in his back court.

Rose is deserving of the MVP award.

HA! You cannot dismiss the excuse of age where Rose is concerned but then say that Lebron has a strike against him because "he's won two already". What difference does that make? If he is good enough, he should win the award. Now, and every other year. And after last night, with Wade in the locker room. I think the two canceling each other out might not be an effective excuse anymore...

It might not be, but one game does not a season make.

Rose has been consistent all year and his age SHOULDN'T have anything to do with him winning.

lebron most likely won't get it this year because he's won the last two and they aren't giving it to the same guy three years in a row.

Now given that, of the remaining players, I'm going with Rose because of what he has dealt with all season.

Lebron has better numbers over the course of the season. It was not just one game. Wade has missed games, Bosh has missed games. Lebron continues to play at an extremely high level. I think Lebron is in the conversation. Players have won 3 MVPs in a row, it is not unprecedented.

Average for lebron

So are we just not supposed to acknowledge our own guy who has a legit case and should win in order to not be viewed as a homer?

Our we NOT supposed to get behind our guy?

Wrong guy for that stuff...if he deserves it, he deserves it. But I don't play that "get behind our guy" stuff. I call it fair and even. That goes with MVPs, AllStars, All-League...all of that. I am pretty much impartial.

If Rose deserves it, and their is a very strong case that he does, He should get it. Doesn't matter how old he is, doesn't matter who the media darling is...none of that. But I am not going to turn away from another player in the league who may be more deserving because Rose plays for my favorite team. I thought Pippen played at an MVP level in 1994. Olajuwon was the MVP though, and rightfully so. That is the way I look at it.

Pippen was robbed in 94

We all know what he did that season. I saw it first hand.

Rose is every bit as deserving as any other player in the league.

And there is nothing wrong with getting behind Derrick Rose, he deserves it. We're just going to have to disagree on our outlook on the league. You want to be a non biased "fan" go ahead. I'm biased towards the Bulls, admittedly, but in this case, my bias has a valid base.

That's my point...Pippen was NOT robbed in 1994. Name the second best player on the Rockets...no allstars. Pippen had 2 allstars on his team that year.

I know why BJ got in and Horace was a constant snub and the year Mike was gone, they picked him.

Pippen was more valuable to his team than Hakeem was to the Rockets. The Bulls abruptly lost Jordan and at the same time added multiple new guys to the roster and they only lost 2 more games than the year before. That was all due to Pippen leading the Bulls in every statistical category.

If that's not MVP, I don't know what is.

Several players have MVP seasons. None that year had a more valuable season than Hakeem. Best player in the league, he was to the Rockets what Jordan was to the Bulls. Plain and simple. You can't say that about Pippen because that wasn't his game. Hakeem had less to work with than any championship team over the last 30 years easily. Otis Thorpe and Vernon Maxwell?

Hakeem deserved it that year, got more votes than Jordan did for MVP in 1993. He is on some people's top 10 list. Also won defensive player of the year in 1994. Most dominant player in the league at that time. He definitely deserved it.

you're right dude. you're absolutely right.

Olajuwan had a great year. No doubt. But the Bulls wouldn't have done anything without Pippen.

But again you're right.
