Derrick Rose out for season following successful knee surgery

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose underwent surgery to repair his torn meniscus at Rush University Medical Center Monday morning. The procedure was a success.

Team physicians Dr. Brian Cole and Dr. Chuck Bush Joseph performed the surgery.

Rose is out for the season, after injuring his right knee in the third quarter of Friday night's game. The Bulls were in Portland, where they lost to the Trail Blazers 95 - 98.

they have to try and move out Deng, boozer, and hinrich for draft picks and expiring contracts...

they have 17 MIl coming off the book next year ( Deng, Hinrich ) and they could Amnesty Boozer 16 MIL if they cant find a trading partner..

Even if it was, GarPax wouldn't do it. I think that they have finally figured out that you need multiple stars to win in today's NBA & you can't expect a 6'3" PG to completely carry the offensive load for your team. Rose may never reach his pre-injury MVP level again, but IMHO he will still be a beast when he returns next season. I think that GarPax will now go out of their way to position themselves for a franchise-type player via draft lottery, free-agency, or a trade for a disgruntled star that wants out from their current team (Kevin Love, Lamarcus Aldridge, etc...).

At this point, that isn't happening. The Blazers are #2 in the West and the TWolves are in a playoff spot. Bulls shitty luck continues. Their best bet is the lottery where they have had some luck.

Yeah their best bet is to get a mid range pick, perhaps late lottery or something, and hope that the player they draft there ends up being like Tony Parker value or something.

How did we come to this....

Couple years ago Rose was MVP, we were going to build around him and win championships, and he was going to be a Bull for 10-15 years....

...Now, his career is in jeopardy.
