How did we come to this....

Couple years ago Rose was MVP, we were going to build around him and win championships, and he was going to be a Bull for 10-15 years....

...Now, his career is in jeopardy.

When you jump around for a living, bad knees have a tendency to put a damper on the whole thing, just saying. Not sure if it "career is in jeopardy" but can our Bulls continue to count on Rose at this point? Two years two season ending knee injuries? What's next year going to bring?

Injuries kill careers. Some guys adapt their game and live within their means. Rose should get in contact with Grant Hill.

we watched rose drop 6 3's against the Pacers and thought he was close to breaking out of his slump...and now we're back at square one

My reaction to Rose's first knee injury was almost like this. I was LIVID that day. This hurts.

lol, I was in Alaska visiting my sister. She had cable and game was on TNT so I was watching it at 9 AM..anywho, as the Bulls were up by 17 with 3 minutes to go or whatever I knew the game was over so I went to take a shower. Came back downstairs and my brother in law said Rose went down with a knee injury and stayed down until he was lifted off the court.

I came here for the freak out, the ensuing madness and twitter, facebook whatever for any updates hoping it wasn't serious. A few hours later my day was officially ruined as it was announced he tore his ACL. I sulked the rest of my last day in Alaska that day. I took sleeping pills on the plane and slept for 20 hours the next day lol..Somehow I managed to get out of the airport when arriving back in Chicago (dunno how).

Excuse me, but thats definatly not the line up i would have in mind.

But ,yes, i should be the GM, considering im the only one here that saw Derrick Roses injury coming numerous times the last few months especially......Go ahead and look in the forum history before you try and underestimate my intelligents....Thank you very much.......im the one that sugested trading Rose last season and this sumer well he still had value in the trade market, BEFORE he got injured again...........I had no doubt he would suffer a similar major injury again, based on his overexcertion in his drive and step...............I knew Derrick would have serious inbalence in his knees after his first surgery.
Yall feel dumb, while even though im very sad about what has unfolded, i prepared myself for the inevitable, hence im not shocked like most of you.

And as far as your smartass JR smith-B.G-Nate Robinson smart ass statement, those would not be cornerstones in my line up.
But yes, i would choose 1 of them for my bench.
keep in mind Dunleavy makes more money that all 3 of them.

I would have my eyes on real prizes like Lebron, Melo or Love.............I think big,and i wouldnt be shopping at Sanfor and Sons for my roster.

Get it right dude.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
So nobody cared about the details. Just use this thread as an excuse(one of about 12 on the frontpage of the Bulls section now) to derail and talk about rebuilding(which I'll add, are basically the same people saying the same things). MMmkay.

BTW, the details. Rose's meniscus was repaired. Rose made the ultimate decision not to remove the meniscus after careful considerations with talking to his doctor(not the team doctor). It wasn't a clean tear, which is why his recovery is expected to take all season.

i was devastated when he tore his ACL....its funny how quick i went from feeling good about wrapping up the the win to feeling like complete shit...i pretty much didnt care about watching basketball anymore after that

i did watch the rest of the series only to feel even worse watching our guys struggle against and losing to a team we shoulda beat in 5 games

not to mention noah twisting his ankle something serious and him actually trying to play on it was painful to watch

Its a known fact that repairing is better long term but recovery is longer

Its the most activity this forum has seen since last years playoffs!

I knew Rose wouldn't remove it. In his view rehabbing and coming back stronger is better than trying to get back out there right away. That's if he can come back stronger.

Wade still won three championships.
True.......but :)

He had Shaq next to him for one of them, while Lebron & Bosh were next to him for the other two.

He's an extremely talented guy, but he's had some major help along the way.
