he has been hurt season in and season out and when he plays like billups he doesnt put up 20 and 10 but he makes all the plays and is a leader...people forget its not all about statistics

Westbrook has really developed his game and people like to say hes a better passer than Rose because they see his #s. He plays with Kevin Durant, nuff said.
Rondos D is leaps and bounds above Rose's. He's a very good passer but again, KG, Allen and Pierce.
Actually, looking at all of the PGs, Rose has the least weapons of the rest of the group, wouldnt you say? When guys like Kirk and Deng get going, Rose averages around 8-9 assists.
Without a doubt, Williams and Paul are better PGs than Rose and i dont see how anyone could make the argument. But you can make a case of Rose VS anyone in the league.

rose is a very good scorer but unlike williams and paul doesnt seem to be a passing kind of PG...a little like Baron Davis...

he shouldnt have two mvps but the dude can ball..
racking up 10 assists per game when your freaking 36 is not as easy as it sounds..plus he is shooting 90% from FT and 40% from 3...he is a great prototype pg..i thought before this season he was falling off because of age..but i was wrong

I can't rank D-Rose in the top 5 yet cuz he can't defend yet. Offensively, Rose is incredible, especially after he recovered from the ankle injury to start the season. It's tough to compare him to Williams (the best PG in the NBA), CP3 (health issues) and Nash because Rose has nobody inside or outside to help with the scoring load. The Bulls under Paxson, Foreman and Vinny are a jump shooting team but if they get a Bosh to score inside, it will be interesting to watch DR develop. Love him but still a lot of room to grow, especially on D.

WTF? He is a big reason for Dallas' turn-around, and no one makes an engine run like he does. He deserved both the MVPs he won.

I think he's a great player obviously but it's insulting to put him up there with Magic, Payton, Stockton, Isiah... and even guys like Chris Paul, Williams, Kidd (in his prime), and Billups because Steve Nash is simply a HORRIBLE defensive player. He is turnover-prone compared to all these guys too...

I'm not one of those people... "per game" stats can't tell you very much... you need to watch the games. I'm not a Steve Nash hater either. I thought the 2007 Suns were the better team than the eventual champ Spurs that season... they were victims of circumstances and bad officiating in Gm.3 of the Semi-finals.

It helps when you have a guy called Amare Stoudamire and Derrick Rose has Joakim Noah, really can't score offensively, and an undersized pf that rarely makes his jumpers, Kirk shoots less then 30% from anywhere and Deng jut chucks.
