THE BULLS NEED ANOTHER STAR PLAYER TO BE ROSE'S PIPPEN.
OR ROSE CAN BE A PIPPEN FOR ANOTHER STAR.
EITHER WAY IS FINE WITH ME.

Here's the thing about this. I have no problem with Rose not wanting to recruit and wanting to do it with the guys he has now. But, I don't want to hear Reggie bitching about how management hasn't brought in the talent to beat the Heat. It's not Rose's job to recruit the talent, but that doesn't mean he can't help. And remember Reggie, your brother took the MAX money. So don't complain about the Bulls not bringing in the talent. Durant didn't take the max. Westbrook didn't take the max.

Durant and Westbrook have max contracts but I agree with your overall point. Rose gets a pass from way too many fans. He cowardly sat out last year. Now he refuses to recruit even though he allows (if not outwardly directs) his brother to complain the team doesn't bring in enough talent.

Thank you for the correctection, I was under the impression that both took less in an effort to have more wiggle room in re signing Harden or Ibaka. I will however disagree with your statement that he cowardly sat out last year. When it comes to ACL injuries I would prefer him take his time then come back when he feels he's not ready. What I didn't like was how it was handled. It always felt like Rose wasn't going to come back at all regardless of what happened and I just wish him or the Bulls would've just shut him down for the season officially then having the circus follow them around.

Some of this was mishandled by Reggie Rose, who somehow became his agent after BJ Armstrong inferred Derrick would not return last January.

That is absolutely accurate. And I think that was the beginning of the downfall from the public eye for Rose. Because, as soon as Reggie mistakenly made those comments, everybody was wondering if that was how Derrick really felt. Not to mention, I don't have his quote in front of me, but Reggie kind of snubbed some of Rose's teammates in a way by saying they weren't good enough to beat the Heat. Rose is the one who has to go into the locker room with them and go to battle, not you Reggie.

While Rose doesn't wanna recruit, I'm sure if a player expressed some interest in playing with Rose, say Lebron, he would talk to Lebron and try to sell him on the team. He seems to be a player that doesn't wanna beg someone to come here, he wants players that wanna be here and play with him. If Lebron or some other big name was out there and expressed publicly or privately, Rose would do what he can to sell him on the bulls. I can understand where he's coming from.

I wanted Rose to come back last year as much as anyone else. But in the end I really believe he did the right thing. Knee injuries aren't a joke, you see how long it takes in football, and Adrian Peterson is an exception to this, but you see RGIII struggling, it takes a for athletes. He knows his body, and I'm guessing he felt he wouldn't give them as much as the sports world had thought he could. So he stayed out and made sure he was completely healthy, the knee was sound, and his confidense in the knee would be there. I think it's not just the physical aspect of it, but also a mental thing. Like I said RGIII may be completely healthy but he seems to have lingering issues mentally in trusting the health of the knee. If Rose came back, with him having some doubt about the knees health, worrying about reinjuring it, he wouldn't be much more than a bit player out there, because he's not mentally ready. He held out, did what he needed to do to get back 100% physically and mentally. Reggie though should have just kept his mouth shut, cause he caused more harm then good. When Rose comes back healthy and plays like his usual self, all the people upset about last season will begin to forget, and love him again.
