Guess I missed a good 3rd period
Yes, yes you did.

They looked like the pre-Winter Classic Hawks in the 3rd period. Good stuff.
Problem is that it was the Devils on the other side. Don't get me wrong a wins a win..just wish it came against a team that wasn't a basement dweller. Hawks should look good against the Devils as that is a horrible team. But at the same time I liked that 3rd period also. The first two were dry dry dry but tis usually the case when the trap rears its ugly head.
Yeah, but it's the first time we've beaten a basement dweller over the last handful of games. Gotta start somewhere.
Fair enough.
Is it just me seeing things that aren't actually there but do the Hawks typically struggle against the bottom dwellers this time of year and rise up for the tougher teams like the Blues a week ago? Or am I totally talking out of my ass? I am sure if I actually took time to research previous years and compare it with the current schedule my theory here would be all shit wrong. But I am sticking with it anyways.
Besides no evidence from last year in Feb seeing it was Olympic break time. So I am just going to pretend the Hawks sucked against bottom dwellers last year in feb and beat the shit out of the higher ranked teams.
Year before that was the lockout year so feb if I remember correctly the Hawks went on that crazy ass points streak. So I am going to pretend that didnt happen either and the Hawks shit the bed in Feb against the lower ranked teams.
WAIT...2011/12 season I just looked it up Hawks went 5-9 and lost to some real crap teams. So my theory is correct.
This is typical Blackhawks feb hockey. Ever since Hossa came to the team.
Oh shit, I posted in the wrong thread.
