What you're doing here is literally the opposite of passive participation so I don't believe you and you have literally zero credibility when you say this and then follow that with literally a paragraph trying to turn it around on myselve when you have literally zero clue as to what my actural opinion of Feilds is, ignoramus.
If Fields starts playing well you meatballs will be @ing me 10 times a day - don't kid yourself.

I don't think you know the meaning of the meatball colloquialism and use it in an effort to insult or frustrate and troll people with as you do the opposite of being passively engaged with this forum, and I do think that you're overestimating how many @s you'll be getting but I do understand that you are trying to set yourselve up for getting that sort of attention as that is exactly precisely what you crave whether it's good or bad attention mostly bad because that's literally the easiest attention to extract from people especially if you are as lazy as you appear to be.

Thank you. Finally someone gives a well thought out analysis of where we are at this point vs "lets wait and see"
I think everyone except the most optimistic fans feel like this, some just hope to be pleasantly surprised and I don’t blame them for hiding from the truth.

But it’s hard to argue with Black Rainbow’s points, looking at the decisions on paper.

Eberflus looks like the most McCaskey hiring ever, they are terrified by any kind of fire or charisma. When literally all the best HCs in the league are very strong characters. Harbaugh would terrify them.

The McCaskeys want middle management yes men and first timers who are just grateful for the opportunity. Every hire is in that vein.

And the only coaches to win a Bears Superbowl were Ditka and Ryan….

What
The Bears needed hires that could help Fields develop; the idea was to get coaches with proven experience. So they go out and hire a mediocre DC who runs cover two. I'm assuming we have to switch from 3-4 to 4-3...did we really need that big of a change with the personnel we have right now? (Correct me if I'm wrong about this. We can discuss further if necessary.)

We hired Luke Getsy. He's never been an OC before. He was a QB coach in GB. He developed Jordan Love, who many of CCS's own dubbed a "shit-stain" QB after ONE game. I mean it's kinda poetic justice and funny as fuck on one hand (relative to the clown posse on this board)...but I still have to deal with this guy being our OC.

We hired Andrew Janocko to be Fields QB coach. He's been with Minnesota for years but was only a QB coach this last year for Cousins, who's already been "developed." He has NO experience developing a young guy.

Look at this dude's resume. He's MOSTLY been an offensive line coach...lmao...he's going to coach up Fields?

...with Minnesota as an offensive quality control coach (2015-16) before serving as assistant offensive line coach (2017), co-offensive line coach (2018), assistant offensive line coach (2019), receivers coach (2020) and quarterbacks coach (2021).

There's absolutely NOTHING here that screams "THIS WILL HELP OUR STRUGGLING QB."

This is a great post.

Completely agree. The Bears love to hire coaches with zero personality and charisma. Ditka was the last coach the Bears had that truly had a presence, a personality and charisma and all he did was win a Super Bowl. This organization makes no sense.

Why do you think the McCaskey's constantly go for the "middle management yes men"? Is it simply about maintaining control?

I completely agree with your assessment of the new hires not appearing to be the crew needed to maximize Fields in the short term and develop him for the long term...

I would still bet that the meatballs on here would be perfectly happy to forget all about you, and fixate on whatever debbie downer takes over the negative attention void that you leave.

Wrong.

They want to forget about me now because Fields had a bad rookie year. If Fields plays well next year it will be..."Where is that @Black Rainbow now?" "Why doesn't he come back and eat crow...blah, blah, blah." Heck, they did it this year when Fields had a good half or a few good throws....sometimes they do it when Fields FINALLY throws a TD in the IGT.

Guys cannot wait to rub it in....it's like you've never been on a message board before.

maybe that will be next year, but the year after that, and after that? This board will have new members to mock and new members that wont have any idea who you are.

But to be perfectly fair, if you dont like that... well it is the grave you dug by being such a downer on a message board.

I've got a really bad feeling about the new coaching staff, like worse than normal. Same for the GM. So much so, I'm only passively interested in the Bears.

Good news for you guys, maybe I won't be on the board as much. Bad news for the state of the team...I cannot even be "negative" because I don't really care anymore.
Wow. IDK why. They actually seem to have a plan and looking to execute THE VERY THINGS we all have been yelling for—OL help, QB support, play calling that benefits QB, running OFF/DEF that work with the players we HAVE not trying to jam a square peg in a round hole. JFC.
