Did anyone else's Cook County property taxes just jump significantly?

My bank fucked up once upon a time by not paying my property taxes out of my escrow. I found out when I received a call from a guy that takes title of your home when you don't pay your taxes. I'm thinking WTF are you talking about, and realized what had happened. One call and my bank took care of it.

Wow you dodged a bullet there, Spunky. I saw on the news some time ago that there are ppl looking for exact situations like yours to scam you out of a home. I always check to make sure the property taxes are paid in full since seeing that news.
