HOly shit was it good.
Wonderfully done by Pat. No real surprise. He's a true class act.
This still wont fully hit me until I listen to Pat and Otto this spring.
is it officially otto. i really hope not. nothing against him i think he does an alright job id just be a lot happier with moreland. i think he is way better.
Nah, I am just assuming. I don't dislike either but it's never going to be the same.
Im not a Cubs fan, but I am in my car alot for work, and I love baseball....so I usually during the day will have the cubs game on, and listening to santo got annoying at times, it was entertaining and his broadcasts were harmless. sure i got annoyed when the bags were juiced and someone hit the ball and he was reading a fax from bernice who is 92 years old and loves the cubs.....but it was part of listening to the cubs on the radio.
cubs radio wont be the same without him there. you cannot replace a ron santo.
and on a side note.......please no otto. please!

Ugh, I'll never listen to another Cubs game again if it's really Otto. He is absolutely awful.

I'm not buying that. I get your point and it's generally true but in a key spot of the ball game Ron was watching carefully. He would definitely get lost but I don't recall him ever getting in the way of a game changing call.
Pat Hughes should just do it solo and they should still call it the Pat and Ron show. That would be the best option, IMO.
