Yes i have heard it very good. Pat is the man and i hope they get Mark Grace and have him be the color guy, if he will leave his position at the dbacks (i doubt he will though.)

what?!?! Come on dero i know grace is not a "good" broadcaster but santo might have been the worst ever but everyone loved him. Grace is a cub no question sure he played his final seasons with the dbacks but he is a cub. The guy loves the team and the fans i think he would be the perfect guy for the job in a lot of ways he is like ron santo.

Pat Hughes is one of about 3 broadcasters that can do it solo, which is why I think he should. I'd rather have Pat only than Otto, Moreland, or Grace. If you don't have a good option for a 2nd guy, don't have one. There is no need when you have Pat Hughes.

really? even grace a die hard cub and in many ways similar to ron? Did you ever think pat (as great as he is without question) might not be as good without ron? There is no way they will do the pat hughes show sorry but everybody has at least two guys so like it or not there will be another guy in the booth with pat for next season u have to figure out who would fit the best.

He is definitely good enout to do it. Pat is a great broadcaster but why waste his sense of humor by letting him broadcast solo. It is hard to have the same sense of humor without another human in the booth. I mean, I dont listen to the games for jokes but I do enjoy that element as well.

Ron probably made Pat better in that he forced Pat to be on his toes but Pat is just one of those play-by-play voices that just plain gets it.

It was an amazing eulogy done as only Pat could have done it. Pat is a true class act and genuine good guy. It will be more difficult listening to the games on the radio next year without the voice of Ronnie adding so much life to the broadcast.

Pat did great job. Going to be weird not listening to Santo on radio. I would watch the game on tv and have no sound while listening to the radio
