He wasnt sacked a lot because he had multiple NFL linemen on his OL, including a top 5 pick LT
Caleb had nothing on the OL that was deemed NFL talent. Caleb was pressured much more than jayden. Its a team sport, maybe you cant process that. Jonah Monheim was the only nfl prospect and he was a 7th round pick. I doubt he ever plays meaningful reps in the NFL
When they were actually pressured, jayden took sacks almost as much as caleb.
I'm sure if you let caleb play behind 4 NFL level OL and with brian thomas jr, malik nabers, and mason taylor he would also take a lot less sacks in college
Again, the study wasn’t “what do players who weren’t sacked a lot, but could have been, do.” It was just players who were sacked a lot.
Caleb creates his own pressure. He has a terrible habit of climbing the pocket when his tackles done have the edge rusher sealed off… I.e. when there’s nothing pushing him to climb. He also just doesn’t process well and holds the ball way too long looking to play backyard ball.
Jayden has rebutted your presumption. Do you know how that works? You look at the college experience and presume that “well you know if Jayden didn’t have x, y and z he wouldn’t have done better.” Jayden has been far better as a pro. It’s not close. You’re making excuses still, but national people who aren’t invested like you are are starting to be like “okay, it’s game 20… if it’s there, we need to see it now.” I actually think we will today… about to win some money. But not against teams who aren’t as awful as Dallas defensively.
Caleb hasn’t been anything close to what I’m sure you thought he’d be as a pro. And, if it was how I’m sure you think it is, and this dude is a super star surrounded by suckage… you’d know it. He’d be making play after play after play and you’d have guys just blowing it.
