Great stats, looking at it. we are right around everything last year. Biggest deficiences has been PK, and GA (somewhat shots against) which I would assume results from the PD being so bad.

So in order to say the season, we need to do everything the same, except make the PK twice as good. Then we win all.

Thanks for the stats pmxc. You are right, they aren't terribly far off statwise. For some unknown reason, the losses just seem to hurt more and be more disappointing this year. I guess it IS being spoiled like RK said.

Between the home record...then the giving up the goals IMMEDIATELY after either scoring one, or giving one up early in the season - there was a span there it was ridiculous...have been the 2 "issues" this year. The home record...is probably more of teams wanting to come in, are extra jacked up to play in front of the big crowd versus the defending champs...and this isnt the same team/makes it harder.

The quick strikes/goals...are mental lapses thats hard to explain. Is it the players? Do they need the goalie to make a big save or are they weak goals?

This is the main reason they are not in a Playoff spot right now. All those close games we gave away are going to Haunt this team until April. Hopefully they can come together because I say all 12 home games here on our are a must.

IMO that's what makes this team different IMO. They are not getting ANY of the breaks. Which last year, like all Stanley Cup Champions they got. Whether it's depth, lack of chemistry, or what ever the excuse, they are minutes away from being a very good team. I can think of 10 games off hand this team should have and most definitely could have won. To the point of "handing" the game to the other team.

Add 20pts to our total and where are we? That's the frustrating thing for me. They are far better than they have played, yet at the same time they still can dominate. inconsistency and bad luck.

I still think Pez hit the problem with the 3rd period stats. I still think it's a 60 minutes problem with Andy Rooney. And that stems from playing less physical and grinding the other team down in my opinion.

Just an opinion.
