My only experience has been cable, and it seems like the local cable company bullies to higher rates and less service. I'd like to get the NFL Network, but cable company is too cheap.

I was on local cable for the lower "new customer" rates. Those lasted a year. Then they tried to more than double my bill. Went with DirecTv. Love it. Amazing customer service. Great channels. Etc. Plus my low rates are locked in for two years.
Only thing that sucks is I currently don't have CSN(I can order it though, just haven't yet) and lotsof times local sports is blocked out on ESPN or MLB Network.

I'm out of market, so I used to have DTV for the Ticket. I got tired of paying for TV awhile ago though. Haven't had it in almost 2 years and don't regret it for a minute.

Mediacom is a fucking joke. In two years they will try and jack your rates up over double. Plus the customer service is always awful.
I use AT&T for internet. Been really happy with them as well.

If I could afford it id sign up for direct tv right now...for new customers they are giving you NFL sunday ticket for FREE...but since i cant im stuck with basic comcast cable..ugh

I have Comcast. Customer service has been good. Channels are good. Only problem is that Comcast's signal sucks, so the picture occasionally freezes and the stream dies.

It sounds like Mediacom and Insight are one and the same. I've had Insight here in KY for about two years and they've more than doubled, so I'm looking around for something better. AT&T has a pretty sweet deal that I'm looking in to. Internet and phone with DirecTV and NFL Sunday Ticket at no additional cost, plus a free HD-DVR receiver and 3 months of HBO and Showtime and the sports package which includes CSN Chicago. I'm pretty close to signing up. Heard nothing but positive about DirecTV.

I hate them all. I have DishNetwork. I suppose its acceptable. I have comcast for internet. It sucks, but works atleast 75% of the time.

I've always had Comcast cable at home. My parents were talking about switching to Direct TV though. I don't think they have yet or if they ever will, but if it is indeed better then I'll be sure to recommend it (generally if I recommend any piece of technology they get it because they know nothing about technology...).

Dish Network for me. Sucks not having MLB Network and ESPNEWS HD. Seems like the owners of Dish are drama whores. Seems like at least a few times a year there's a channel dispute.

Ive had Dish and Directv.. then had enough friends that have had comcast
Dish was piss terrible for me.. Worked maybe 50% of the time.. customer service.. wait.. whats that?
Directv had since Dish got the ass kicking it deserved.. It works 95% of the time.. Takes a 30,000+ cloud top storm to knock it out which doesn't happen too often.. Even then it kicks right back on within a minute.
For Comcast.. I'll just say that 4 of my friends dumped Comcast for Directv.
I would highly recommend DTV.
