I don't believe you follow.
A dislike is clicking a button and displaying a written message.
You can write that message in the form of a quoted post, PM, wall post, etc. It's the same thing, it's just functionality.
However, the level of butthurt with the specific call-to-action of a "dislike" isn't the same.

If you had to deal with the level of butthurtness we do, you would fully understand. Give an inch (a feature that helps give users a way to say no thanks) and people take a mile (20 people ganging up on random posters for "fun"). In the interim, until we figure out what we want to do, this will stay.
