Yup. It's pure panic. They want Caleb Williams so bad - yet they call others cult members when an argument comes up that doesn't put 100% of the blame on Fields, because they think somehow that means we aren't getting Caleb. It's so damn tone deaf.
We're already seeing the Caleb Williams defenses and excuses and he's not even a Bear yet.

Or maybe he IS being truthful, he knows better, and knows the play caller is an idiot who has everyone out of position and does dumb shit like this:

Weren't his former teammates also complaining about how Getsy was using him during the game?

Do you think that Getsy called a good game?

The interior run calls, behind a line that was getting blown off the ball, really did “it” for you, eih? Getting well below 3 yards/carry from your backfield, and sticking with that for an entire quarter, screams “great play calling for you”?

Interesting.
I loved the play, where Scott should block the DE. Wonder why it didn't work.

That was 150 IQ play design. It would’ve been 200 IQ play design, if Getsy would’ve had Cairo come in to block the DLineman…

The best thing is. He had it multiple times this season. An IQ by 20, at 10, the pig oink.

I'm glad I made this thread. People really exposed themselves in it.

There is no more excuses of, "what else is he supposed to say" nor can people make the claim "he's a trash player who doesn't know what he's talking about".

He flat out said Luke getsy is the issue in the politest way possible. And it has people in conniption fits, accusing him of lying, and all sorts of wild shit. Mostly the same people who will call anyone who thinks the bear should hold on the fields a cult, ironically.

The best player on offense called out the offensive coordinator and unequivocally put it all on his shoulders. It's the same thing many of us have been saying for a very long time, but the people who wanted to get rid of fields even as of last year or the year before, have been unwilling to listen to.

Regardless of what happens, there is no more hiding or pretending Luke getsy isn't the problem, and there's no more soft pedaling with bullshit "yeah, but..." arguments. There is no but. All the issues you are seeing on offense are the majority the fault of Luke getsy. Not just for Fields but the entire offense.

You have your best player on offense who should have gone to a pro bowl and who had the best year of his career tell you this.

If you are going to try to argue that you know better than that guy?

Maybe you should look at a mirror before you call anyone else a cult member...

Why does it look like when there are check downs they take forever to get out. How about a quick check-down when your QB is getting hit in less than 2 seconds? Never wanted Getsy here. Still don't. I don't care what Poles does in the draft. But if Getsy & Chris Morgan aren't fired it won't matter.
Because there’s no such thing as a quick, check down with a quarterback, who doesn’t process quickly.

There’s plenty to dislike about the game plan yesterday or Getsy’s game planning in general, but quick check downs are not really a possibility.

Ok. We’ll since Fields is the problem, then Keep Getsy, keep the line, and Draft Williams.

I’m sure that will get the Bears into the post season. Sounds like a good plan 👍🏾
I don’t know why it is so hard for people here to realize that they are still adding to the team. They’re not going to draft Williams and do nothing else.

But I would be willing to bet that if they drafted Williams, kept Getty, and kept the exact same offensive line that this team would be in the playoffs next year. We won’t know, but I would put money on that.

I mean the Bears coaching hires over the last ten years have been epic. From Getsy to Aaron ‘the grass’ Kromer, Dowell ‘the dwarf’ Loggains (last seen on Epstein Island writing complex equations on chalkboards for Stephen Hawking) and such geniuses as Mel Tucker and Alan ‘HR nightmare’ Williams. It’s borderline comical. The only hire everyone liked was Fangio and he was as good as expected. How is it even possible to get it this wrong this often? Are the McCaskeys trolling us?

Getsy knew that this would be his last game as a Bear, and gave it up to the Packers to get them into the playoffs, and get a job there next year. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but my mind might not be right as I haven't had my morning smoke yet.
Maybe King Poles told to simplify the game so that Fields wouldn't lose his market value. We all know that if Fields is allowed to throw the ball like some Payton Manning, the result will be a lot of interceptions. We don't have enough quality players for that kind of game, knowing the limitations of Fields.
