Nope, he won't be back this year. Earlier in the week Spiegel & Goff asked Maddon the question directly if there was any chance Schwarber plays this year and he answered "zero, none".

wow i didnt see that. kinda sucks but we dont need him bro. the team is dominating mlb with great pitching and great hitting. there's plenty of outfielders on this team that can hit big. almora is huge and could win the rookie of the year if he gets enough AB's, right?
