in free agency, you have to overpay. but i'd rather overpay for a player that could bring us to the finals than a player who is a d'antoni system player. shawn marion anyone? he was being paid 17 mil a year outside of d'antoni's system and looked like CRAP. that's gonna be david lee. i'd rather overpay for amare.

Amare flourished in D'Antoni's system... it's hard to compare Stat and Lee using that example.
