Bukowski was fuckin bi you idiot. And a major *** rights advocate. Just like ginsberg and half the other fucks of the era.

He talks about fucking a guy in the ass in a newspaper column. Think it was re-published in notes of a dirty old man. But keep wearing that bukowski fan badge like you were the first to discover a poet who's been dead 20 years.

Bukowski was a miserable ****. A genius, but still a miserable ****. His art is the kind you appreciate for tragic, miserable eloquence. Like Goya's disasters of war. Bukowski weaved such a precise, emotive picture of desperation. He was an amazing artist but hardly someone to emulate.

Who the **** emulates him? I don't know one person who emulates him, but admires his ability to write as if he was sitting at some dive shithole with Tom Waits writing about tragedy over a bottle of wine. Oh shit, is that too bro for you?

I hear the same shit with hipsers getting a chub over Kerouac and Neal Cassady as if they were someone to marvel at; when in truth they were drug addict nutjobs who couldn't handle life at any level so Jack lived his mom and drank himself to deah, and Neal partied around(nice Dead sig, btw) with the merry Bus of the 60s and died drunk as **** on some mexican rail road tracks.

Point being, because they are amazing authors doesn't mean anyone emulates them. Maybe you should stop assuming I'm so fucking dumb frat "bro" and realize I have zero resemblence of one, so stop insulting me to look cool for some other weirdos you'll never meet in real life on some damn message board.

As Willy Wonka said, " You lost. You win NOTHING. Good day, sir."

Btw, proving how big of a moron you are I have yet to find one piece stating that Bukowski was ***. I think you are mixing Bukowski and Kerouac(hence, your Ginsberg reference).

You have just been owned.

Deal with it.

lol, ok, but you summon bukowski all the time on this forum as some kind of identity marker.

you are the only person talking about bukowski, kerouac, and cassady. People are supposed to finish that phase by the time they are like 22. I mean, whats next HST? Deepak Chopra? Thich Nhat Hanh? Ram Dass? Burroughs?

What phase? Enjoying good work is a phase?

I was under the impression most of that age demographic are still reading Tucker Max? Are you sureeee you aren't??!?!

Hunter S Thompson is a great writer, am I supposed to not enjoy his great work of on the campaign trail at 24-26 because you say I should've grown out of it? What a pompous tool you are.

The book on him before Canada was "doesn't relate well" or who "struggles with other coaches." It was why he couldn't sniff a head coaching job before Canada. Said he took a new approach and fixed it while there but apparently not. Pressure brought it all back.
