Do you think Tarek is coming back in week 7? And Hicks update?

Id be ok never seeing Club Dub's bellhop mascot ever again. What a shit extension that was. Ryan Pace patting himself on the back for finding a STs returner who just does a dreidel impression on offense before he gains you one yard.
You literally have to be into midget porn to accept Cohen running to the sideline for a solid -1 gain for 6 mil a year

What is it with Chicago athletes and extended ACL recoveries? Dude's going to miss almost 2 full seasons from an ACL tear that almost everybody comes back from before 12 months. What the fuck is wrong with him?

Cohen gettin a little too much shit in here.

Dude was great when used within his skill set.

But Nagy insisted on using him as a power back and it was fuckin Special person. Nagy basically abused him and Cohen should be pissed.

I feel like Cohen just hasn't healed as fast as they thought, or he might have had a setback. I'm not going to doom and gloom speculate on him.

I'd love to see him used the right way, and what he could do with Fields getting him the ball.

Indeed it would.

If Tarik Cohen never plays for this team again it means Ryan Pace gave him twelve million dollars for 74 yards rushing and 41 yards receiving...zero TDs.
So....par for the course?

Juat wait until he resigns Montgomery!!

Acting like Tarik was a complete scrub is crazy lol.

But yeah every time they show him on the sideline he looks super out of shape and apparently still has a noticeable limp. I doubt he plays this season

Cohen got hurt on a freak play and they didn't even call a penalty when he got hit on the fair Catch

Sad hope he can make it back eventually

Do you believe that Cohen will be back for week 7? I went to the Bengals game & sat behind the bench. He was REALLY limping. All I’ve heard is that scar tissue is the reason he went on PUP. I know the Bears haven’t provided an update, but with Monte out it sure would be a shot in the arm IF he can run in the same manner he used to.

Secondly, right when Goldman returns from his extended vacation; Akiem goes down. Goldman looked as expected in the game. I am very high on Edwards potential, but the run D makes me nervous. Despite many people expecting Hicks to start declining; to me, he’s still a beast & he continues to keep his & the teams energetic high.

No idea who "Tarek" is, sorry.

Injuries happen. Its a risk with any veteran contract you hand out, it's not a reason to stop handing out those vet contracts.
It's not that he got a contract. It's the contract he got for how he's used.

This. Kinda.

His contract was signed after a down 2019 season. If he could have put up his 2018 1500 APY type #'s, in 2020 and 2021 his cap # of just over$3M would have been fair. He was never likely to see the $9.5 M in base salaries in 2022 and 2023.

It was a questionable contract at the time and the untimely injury just 2 wks after the signing, which means he will likely be cut with near zero production on the contract, due to the big numbers coming next season, make it look horrendous.

Considering Nagy danced around the question of whether or not Tarik had to have another surgery, I’m guessing he had a pretty major setback

In a time where most people recover from ACL tears... folks forget that there's a small percentage that never heal correctly or have issues with things like frayed meniscus or cartilage issues. I sympathize with him. I've had 2 ACL repairs in the same knee. I was never the same and never regained my lateral agility. My meniscus is so eff'd that I constantly deal with issues like lock knee and stability issues.

I disagree with the contract he received though... because you can always find someone to replace his production. Maybe not with the showmanship... but the production can easily be replaced at a lower cost.

We could use Cohen now that we have an accurate QB that can consistently get past his first and second reads.

Problem is that he had an injury where for whatever reason, some never return to their same capabilities. Pinball may never be the same. Would be wonderful if he fully recovers

He obviously had a setback. For the life of me, I don't understand why they won't just come out and say it. What is the downside to coming out and telling everyone there was a setback? I don't understand the rationale.
