Does it really matter if the Bulls beat the Hawks?

From a victory stand point it would be great to see them finally get to the conference finals.

However, the way they are playing they have no shot against Miami. So does it really matter?

Personally, & this will sound a bit strange. I would rather lose to the Hawks that have to watch them lose to the Heat. Sounds stupid I know.

Just putting this out there to see what other fellow Bullies think.

Seriously. Your statement supports the whole theory that Atlanta is lucky more than capable.

Yes...it matters. The further we go the better chance we have of making our tradeable players more valuable plus it makes our team look more legit to FAs. It's all about stealing FA's from the Heat. xD lol But honestly, the further we go the better.

They are lucky. They aren't better than the Bulls. The Bulls are playing down to them. That is the reason they have won 2 games.

Game 1 was an anomaly and there wasn't much the Bulls could do. They still played decent defense in my opinion but Atlanta just nailed every shot possible.

Game 4 was just a collapse of the defense by us in the 4th quarter and we let them game slip away.

Tonight we did the exact opposite and used an unconventional lineup to do such a thing. Both teams will likely make more adjustments in Game 6. Atlanta will have something up their sleeve I'm sure to adjust. This series is basically a giant chess match. I just hope Atlanta is out of cards to play and thus out of luck.

I actually think Atlanta has been playing better than Boston during the playoffs. Boston gets a lot of respect for what theyve done in the past, but they limped into the playoffs and played what was probably the worst team in the playoffs in the Knicks, whom they swept but looked ugly doing it in half their games. And now, against Miami, with Rondo hurt and Bostons age, the Celtics are like a wounded animal. Everything has to go right for them to beat Miami, at least at this point. Atlanta would beat Boston if they played now. Atlanta is too young and comes at you from too many directions, especially with Teague.

In both of our series, we've been playing teams that make you play 1-5. Miami's not like that, unless they get the 3 going. Don't get too fixated on what has happened up until this point. Miami is a different animal. We'd have to play well to beat Miami but it might be easier to defend 2-4 even with 2 and 3 being great players.

BTW, tonights win was very impressive. Atlanta had a lot of things working and a lot of momentum. The Bulls stayed strong and "another guy" in the form of Taj Gibson emerged. Thank you, Taj. 5/5

Yeah because there was no way Dallas was beating the Lakers either ... except for the inconvenient fact they swept them, totally destroying the whole "may as well not bother, next opponent is too good" theory.

I have a niche that the heat will have a meltdown against the bulls. not saying the bulls could sweep them but i think the bulls could pull it out. And if they did beat the heat the title would more than likely be ours.

I am still not sold on Miami. Yeah they have the "Big 2 1/2", but they have weaknesses the Bulls can exploit. One the Bulls defense will give them fits, two Noah, Rose, and Boozer/Gibson have the advantage at their positions. Three the Bulls also have the advantage when it comes to their bench. It will still be a street fight, but really, who have the Heat beaten? Philly was a low seeded team that they toyed with and still lost a game to them. Boston is old, still psychologically trying to recover since Perkins is gone, slow, and injury prone. IMO, the Celtics in their prime would take out Miami. I just think Miami is looking good against mediocre competition.

The OP talks about how great Miami is, then rips on them in another thread - GM of the year.

Pick a side.

Atlanta eliminated Orlando. They are more than capable to do some damage in the playoffs. It's not like we're still playing the 8th seed Pacers.

I don't think some of you get what I am saying. I am saying that if the Bulls continue to keep playing like this they will lose to the Heat.

You can't play like crap for 3 qtr's then make turn it on in the 4th. Top teams will rip you apart.

I don't think the Heat are the better team. That is what pisses me off most. Is that it is possible that the Bulls could lose to a lesser team. I don't want them to.

If they do lose to a team I would prefer them to lose to OKC, or Dallas. A team that me personally can say that they are at least a equal or better team.

Believe me I do not at all love the Heat. To me they are everything wrong with what I love about Basketball.

However, right now the Heat are beating the crap out of the team that was in the finals last year. The Bulls? They are struggling against a crap team.

Not good.

That theory is pretty invalid. The Heat aren't beating the crap out of Boston at all! And Boston is old, injured, and playing like rubbish themselves. If Boston hadn't actually blown the end of game 4 they would have a tied up series.

The bulls with home court still could win the series playing the back and forth in games style they have because even still they have a lot of advantages over the Heat.

Bro, a crap team? The Hawks are much better than you think. Perimeter shooting, Bigs down low, and decent bench. Their problem is their undisciplined, hence the shot selections they take, which might have something to do with their coaching. They beat Orlando convincingly after ATL was given no chance to win that series, so theres no surprise to me that their playing the Bulls well. As for the Heat, i've stated in my last post that, who have the Heat really played? Boston has been done since the Perkins trade, and Philly was not a very good team.

I really hope you all are right. I really, really don't want to lose to the Heat. I have talked too much crap about them around the net & in the real world to have that happen. It would be crap beyond crap.

Right up there with the time I was bragging about how the Fab Five were going to pounce UNC. That as we all know did not end well.

Its not like the Pacers were the Knicks. People have over-esteemed Boston big time.

There's no way the Bulls can beat the Heat in a 7 game series.

Just because they have the best record in the NBA, the best team defense, the most rebounds, the MVP, Coach of the year, GM/Executive of the year, home court advantage, and they swept the Heat 3-0 in the regular season ... Wait a second. Where was I going with this again?

Oh, yeah. The Bulls have a very good chance of beating the Heat in a 7 game series.

... like I said. :)
