Does the Jimmy Butler deal kind of bother anyone else?

Steph is one of the best point guards in league history. He is also gifted as the greatest shooter ever, or top 5, and he has to shoot high volume to help win.

I can't believe this conversation is happening. I gotta go.

lol at this combo guard shit.

Rose, Steph are PG's. PG's don't have to just rack up a shit ton of assists.

Meh, I don't think Derrick is a PG by definition. I think he's more of a combo guard, which isn't a bad thing.

His scoring ability is why he was one of the best players in the league when he was healthy.

That said, I think Derrick's passing and play making has grown by leaps and bounds since his rookie year. He's making a lot more advanced passes than he used to (looking off defenders, anticipating passing lanes, passing to space, seeing over defenses).

Just like I don't think Steph is a PG. I think he's a combo guard too.

Derrick is at his best when he blends his scoring and passing. When he has that balance.

I think that I agree with you. But adding another good guard that could set people up from the back court is also needed. What is wrong with that? Adding this kind of talent and moving Butler to small forward and getting Dunleavy out of the starting line-up would make a positive improvement in this team. This team needs something. It is not good enough to win the east let alone win a championship. And people can talk all they want to about the so-called offensive improvement under Freddie but you need someone to take charge on the court and set others up. They do not have that guy. Other teams have improved and the Bulls are losing ground.

the post-MVP year Rose was showing he was a complete player...not just a scoring guard

this game really showcased how much Rose had improved overall...he needs to get back to this

see how calm and collected he was? made the right passes and knew when to score

nowadays he either trys too hard which leads to turnovers and bad shooting or not hard enough which leads to him passing off and standing in the corner doing nothing...gotta find that middle ground

Derrick Rose is that guy and is a playmaker.
