Honestly reading and checking out the Red Sox more I am not certain that bullpen is their big need anymore. The bullpen has been pretty solid since their terrible April. I guess we will see because the Red Sox appear to be getting desperate to move him.

I hope this happens, but if the White Sox give up anything better than a Single-A player with some upside I would be really upset. Oh and that single-A player with can't be Tryce Thompson, every other team's scouts have not been impressed with Youk, so Boston doesn't have much leverage, this should be a salary dump for them and nothing more.

thats a lot of fodder. they know that 1 guy like youk going to an AL central team is not going to hurt them...all that is being blown up. they will take the best deal no matter what league.

I agree that if the White Sox offered something useful than the BoSox have no problem dealing Youk to the southside. However, I don't think it is out of the realm of possibilities that if the White Sox were offering absolute crap for prospects that even if the Dodgers offered marginally worse prospects they wouldn't take that deal.

when used correctly he is fine. Left handed power arms are not easy to find.

he is a closer like setup man who will give up a hit when facing a righty but generally get out of the inning. He isnt useful when it is a tie game and is a stop gap.

Saw something earlier that the Red Sox are slowly realizing that they won't get much and it won't be a high cost for him. Just want to dump the salary and they want him out.

I could see it happening.

As long as the Sox don't have to give up a really important player like a starter or Crain, Reed, Jones I don't care what it takes.

He's going for cheap. Sox are very interested. Want to see this happen.
