Once Dwyane Wade became a member of the Chicago Bulls, Doug McDermott's days as #3 were numbered - pun intended. To McDermott's credit, he knew this and willingly gave up the number, as he said in this Instagram post. Well, McBuckets has a new number. This is coming while he and newest Bull, Denzel Valentine, are training with the United States Men's Basketball team as members of*USA Basketball’s Select Team. Earlier in the week, McBuckets put Victor Oladipo on a poster. McDermott offered this post with no explanation today on twitter. https://twitter.com/dougmcd3/status/756522405602799616 All I can really see is Tony Snell ruining the picture if we're being honest. #11 is a bit of a weird look for McDermott, who has been #3 for both of his years in Chicago, as well as his four years at Creighton. However, 11 was not the only number that he was considering. https://twitter.com/KCJHoop/status/756530568834211840 McDermott joins Sam Vincent, B.J Armstrong during his last season as a Bull in 2000, Lindsay Hunter and Tom Thibodeau favorite Ronnie Brewer as notable Bulls to have worn the number.
