I think the Mason West pick will be the best one in this draft. 6’6” and 215 lbs at 18 and can skate really well. He could grow still and when he fills out he should play around 230.
I do agree with KFC’s strategy of trading up. They are essentially busting at the seams with prospects now. They have to consolidate picks into quality over quantity since they won’t have enough spots to even give kids looks in the NHL. They also have another 5 picks in the first 64 picks next year not including what they might be able to get for Murphy, Dickinson, and Foligno this year.
