  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Illinois Fighting Illini
  2. Northwestern Wildcats
If we have #1 start a bidding war. Minimum three 1sts. If we don’t have the number one just the best prospect on the board.

The End.

Why wouldn't you trade, say, with Houston, for the #2 and #33, if you know they're taking a QB anyway?

You're basically giving up the #33 pick and taking the same player you would anyway using your system.

Bears aren’t drafting a QB at #1. Why would Houston give up #33 for free if their player is still on the board at #2?

Like I said, start a bidding war and if that fails just grab the best player available.
To keep someone else from trading up for it. Or why would you make Seattle pay 3 first rounders to move up from 3 to 1. Why not just their own first rounder, which will be something around 15-20 probably? You'd still get Carter or Anderson plus the extra premium pick.

Either way, it doesn't make sense to put a minimum of three first rounders on the pick, because you can get value in a trade that is a lot less than 3 first rounders.

Stop stealing my genius ideas.

I've been spewing this nonsense to all the sports stations in hopes we can make it happen. Makes logical sense, you get an extra pick and still get the guy you want.

Essentially the Mitch trade but teams actually want Bryce Young.

That being said, you get the #1 and its very realistic you could trade down as far as #5 and get one of Carter/Anderson.

I'd also glady trade both of our 2nd's in that scenario to trade up and take JSN.

Get the best defensive prospect and arguably what was the best offensive prospect in this draft class at seasons start outside of QB.

Personally I'd look to trade down and get something like 2 firsts one from this draft and a future 1 and land somewhere around 8 and take skoronski at 8 this would immediately upgrade our oline and add another first rounder to use on defence this year and add another first the following year

It's more realistic and gets the bears in a better place faster

I would do that and it's very possible like you say. If we get Payne as a FA I'd go with Anderson otherwise take Carter.
