What's your dream car? I've decide to start a dream car thread while watching the Auction live on History channel right now, Some really sick cars being auctioned off, one of the best collection in a while I've known of ..a rebuilt & remodel 1968 ford bronco Icon just sold for 230,000$, just look it up. Can't wait to see the new Karma GS6 in motion. Might have to trade in one of my Tesla for one of these suckers.
BTW I'm looking for an convertible Skylark as long as there's no damage to frame and wheels, I plan to rebuild from scratch, the Grand National would probably be my second choice.

I have 2
70 Chevelle SS LS6 454 4 speed
70 Mach 1 428 SCJ 4 speed
70 Mach 1 428 SCJ 4 speed

Hard car, definitely an fluorescence/flat-type color of a car too.
I still have my lime green CE SRT hellcat in LA. I already posted pics of it around here before. I just want something older to take me back to the days of riding around in classic cars.

Audi S8 silver with Burgundy interior. I had a 1965 Mustang in 1972 and it was a piece of shit. I had the iconic 1978 454 Trans Am and again a piece of shit. I had a 1977 TR7 and it was te worst car in the world.

People romanticize about those 60-70s cars but truth is they were rattling deathtraps

the new corvette 2023 with vin number 001 auctioned off @ $3,600,000.00. all the money goes to charity for soldiers and military families. Gotta wonder, do they even bother to drive that car if they paid that much?

i totally understand where you're coming from, but all of that depends on the driver. Some people just can't handle what they get into.

Usually,it goes right into someones private museum..I'd like to know who the winning bidder was.

There is some collector that collects 001 serial number cars..I wouldn't be surprised if he won the bidding

EDIT

The winning bidder was Chevrolet dealer and NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick (Duluth Georgia) who will add the VIN 001 C8 Z06 to his collection of VIN 001 Corvettes.

I'm talking about the overall build quality which was poor. The worst built current Italian car is better built than any car in 1972. Back then virtually every car rattled. Carpets often didnt butt up against other interior trim. Fenders werent aligned properly. Of those 3 cars I mentioned I could go through an endless list of issues, like engine catching on fire or accelerator going to 8k RPM for no reason or keys that got stuck in the ignition.

2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport with less than 130k miles on it

Had a high mileage rusted 87 Wrangler in 99 or 00 for a winter. It ran through snow like a hot japanese gyuto going through room temp butter. Held its value considering its condition.. added fat tires and fog lights and got 1-2k more than I paid.

As a toyota guy.. my dream ride is similar looking.. Landcrusier FJ40

But would settle for a shaved, slighty dropped custom 53 Chevy pick up with modern updates inside/underneath.. the shell could still look ratty though..

tear it all down and rebuild them all, much money to be made even if you don't want the car.
I had an ignition problem recently, I just use wd40 and yanked out the key that was stuck with a regular clamp, the jeep was outside in the cold for a long time, I barely drive it but only when it snows.
My 2006 charger had that carpet problem from adjusting myself with my left leg/foot before the brake pedal from putting weight downward constantly that it gets wet and takes to much stress that it became a hole underneath the carpeting. Shitty thing I know, all that can be modernize and tweaked, some car companies do a shit job sometimes that catches up to them later.

the new 2022 Wranglers are nice, buddy's wife has one. I really like the removable doors. and it's a hybrid. If anyone wonders..i do save plenty of money when i drive my tesla without paying for gas, people should know this. Electric wise, i probably spend up to 40 to $60 a month to charge my car every time i need to charge it up with the 220v.
