This isn't what it sounds like. Well, I guess it is. I enjoy reading Erowid.

But also, last year I was given Versed/Midazolam for a surgical procedure and it fucked me right up for a good 3 months. Not only could I not remember anything from during the procedure (which is the point of it), but had memory lapses and the most vivid dreams of my life for those next 3 months, to the point that I couldn't shake the "ontological anxiety" of the dream for a good hour or more after I woke up (kept wondering if it was real).

What was your most intense, pleasant, or fucked up drug experience (legal or illegal)?

My Junior and Senior years of High School I was having surgeries on my leg every couple months and so for those 2 years I had a constant supply of pain killers, they had me on Xodol which is similar to Vicodin or Norco.

I remember taking the ACT about a week and a half after having an operation so I was higher than a kite when I took the test, it was actually kind of fun.

The other instance that was funny was the day of Prom.... I had surgery like a month before and had just been allowed to start walking on the leg a week or so before Prom, so I was hurting pretty bad.... that day I was doped but I couldn't get sleepy and pass out so I drank Monster, but was in pain so I took more pain killers.... by the time we were heading to Prom in this party bus thing I had like 4 doses of pain killers and 4 cans of Monster in me..... I teetered back and forth between passing out and being extremely alert/awake.... lol my date finally turned to me and was like "Are you ok? You feel alright?"... and I mustered up all the lucidity I had and assured her I was fine as I drifted in and out of my own head.

That was the last time I did anything like that... I still had pain killers for most of college but I rationed them to 1 script a year and I only took halfs when I needed it.... after having to detox after those 2 years of High School I made sure my body never became dependent on it again.

Senior year of college I just stopped using the narcotics and started using just ibuprofen.

After I shattered my pelvis in the military, I was on oxy's and vicodin for about 2 1/2 years for the pain. About a couple of weeks after getting hurt, I popped a couple of oxy's and had a Mtn Dew, and man I had a hard on that wouldn't go away. So my stupid grunt ass attempts to get on top of the wife with a shattered pelvis, luckily for me the wife did all the work. After a couple of hours she threw the towel in and said that's enough. Meanwhile me and my jacked up self just sat there till it went away.

I will say that the pain pills worked for a while, but it always seemed afterwords I was in more pain. Finally was able to get off that shit, and just started using Advil.

Once, I got my tooth taken out and was given vicodin for pain. I took half of one and knocked out.

the first time I tried it, I was 15 and I didn't feel anything 2 hours after the first hit so I asked for another, and then tripped for 24 hours and thought I wasn't going to come down. I somehow ended up under the overturned fiberglass hull of a boat that was sitting in a vacant lot next to a winchell's donuts. the hull only had a 12" diameter hole at its top, so none of us knows how I ended up there. #legends

In 1999 I got real sick and had to have a very serious operation..I woke up in ICU where I stayed for 5 days..During that time I was under some heavy drugs ( dont know what they were). Once I was in bed half awake, and a doctor was sitting at a table across from me doing some paper work..I swear, the room was full of smoke like it was on fire..lol..I told the Doctor, "hey man, you better get us all out of here, the place is on fire"..He looked at me, smiled, and went back to work. Then I asked him.." Dont you see all the smoke in here?". He didnt even acknowledge my question..Then I fell out of consciousness again. When I woke up, all the smoke was gone..lol

last fall, my wife and I had dinner with my mom and I had a headache, so my mom offered me 2 ibuprofen. The pills looked kind of big for ibuprofen but I washed them down with my beer. Turns out they were leftover extra-strength percocet from my mom's shoulder surgery a year prior she had mixed up with her other pills. I slipped in and out of consciousness the rest of the night but when I was awake I didn't remember slipping out of consciousness.

I did a little drugs when I was at the uni and a couple years after. I have tons of stories, real and fantastical. Including but not limited to: 20 microdots in one fell swoop, fresh mushrooms, dmt, dextramethorphine, x, ghb, etc. I craved experience and never got into coke or opiates because those are proven gateway drugs.

These days, I occasionally smoke pot, but it is frowned upon by my professional peers.

I had bad seasonal allergies. Benadryl had just come out and it worked great right away for me. It also made me very angry emotionally. Couldn't figure it out for a few weeks, then we stopped the meds. My allergies came back, but the anger went away.

One time I was with a big group of friends and we all at a bunch of acid. The plan was to head up to a friend's house that was about an hour's drive. We split into two car loads and headed out. Except the car I was in had a problem. None of us could see a fucking thing. All of us were squinting through the windshield and all we could see were giant coronas on all the street lights. We realized we were going like 15 mph on the highway and got the **** off.

Luckily a friend of a friend lived nearby and we went over there. These people turned out to be creepy as ****, but thats another story. Anyway, after an hour or two we headed back out to try driving again (my one friend convinced that this chick at the house was a evil witch that was trying to eat his soul using her "sex powers").

We got in the car and realized there was a 1/4 inch of ice coating the inside of the windshield and that earlier, we hadn't been able to figure out that we needed to turn the defrost on... lmao
