Banner was let go a couple days ago, but I forgot to post it.

The Fire officially signed Dube today, which I will not be writing an article about, as there are no contract details and therefore nothing new besides a contract being signed since I did the Re-Entry Draft write-up anyway.

Fire Eye the Playoffs, the Shield, and the U.S. Open Cup:
Fire buzzing, believe Shield, playoffs within reach in 2012 | MLSsoccer.com

If they want to win the Shield and USOC, it seems odd that the goal is just to make the playoffs, rather than the MLS Cup IMO.

if you're only goal is to make the playoffs, you will settle for less. If your aim is to win the whole thing, you will make the playoffs......does that make sense?

Mikey going isn't terribly sad for the club, and it should be good news for him.

Dube is one guy that I never admitting that I would liked to have picked up off another MLS team, so I'm interested to see how he pans out this season. Jefe Crandall has a good talk with him that's posted on the Fire's site now--check it out. Striker Kheli Dube Signs | Chicago Fire

Meh, I still think that if they are looking at the other competitions the bar should just be set a little higher for the MLS Cup.

the bar was set when we won the 'double' in our first year.
