If anyone needs to consider quitting its Ozzie, Walker and Teahan. Dunn has nevver been on a club that was expected to win and have a big piece of the equatioin placed on his shoulders. It's much easier to produce when not much is on the line and your not being scrutinized by the Chicago media. This is no excuse for Dunn he should be a professional as he's being paid like one. Quitting isn't part of the equation neither is self pity, MAN UP DUNN!!!

Hopefully instead of having a fucking pity party for the rest of the year and after the season, Dunn will follow a legitimate offseason workout that includes....I dont know? fucking batting practice? Can you imagine if DRose had a workout that didnt include shoothing a basketball? I can't imagine it personally because Rose is a freakishly driven person. Can't say the same for Dunn.

This was on the postgame last night and I like how everybody is taking his comments out of context as well as forgetting what he said later on. He's contradicting himself yeah but he doesn't have a clear head anyway...

Am I the only one who read the article? He said when the game wasnt fun anymore he would quit, then says "It’s not going to happen, Zero chance. Zero. You can’t get this competition anywhere else, dude. I don’t care where you look. Nowhere else. It’s one-on-one, dude. And you can’t find that anywhere."

im sure any player that ceased to enjoy the game would quit.

I honestly could care less what context he said it in. I was forced to quit the game I love and to this day miss going out on the diamond every day. He doesn't know how lucky he is to be able to go out there and play every day. I'd give anything to be out there right now. A comment like this just doesn't sit well with me.

I read the article, I just believe it was in poor taste for him to say that, no matter the context it was said in. That's all.

Well I can't blame the guy for not wanting to play anymore if the game isn't fun. I actually commend him for that. It's more than just about a paycheck for him and I can respect that from any professional athlete. You say he doesn't know how lucky he is when his comments in the article clearly suggest he does...

Still a poor choice of words on his part. I'd rather be out there than posting on this message board and saying anything about "quitting" would be the last thing on my mind.

I find it odd that they left out the question they asked him and just put his answer there like he just flat out said it -- I highly doubt that happened. Journalists twist and contort words all the time. Like I said, I respect him for saying what he said. He's not lying. We can agree to disagree on this...

A-fucking-men. Next spring will be the last time I EVER play baseball. Yeah I'll play softball but it's the last time I'll ever actually play baseball, and I'll be just 20 at the time.

Dunn really has to nut-up or he'll never make it in Chicago. Shit like this might fly in Cincinatti or Washington DC, not in Chicago.
