Eddie Jackson is soft, inattentive, unaware and probably doesn't care

I think he got paid and knows ultimately it doesn’t matter how well he plays this season and just not getting hurt is more important than anything.

He can actually suck next year too and it won’t really matter. He knows Chicago has to pay him for 3 years before they can even consider getting rid of him.

Its possible to get out of his contract after next season and have it not be crippling. The Bears would probably rather not have it come to that, but if he's going to be this bad its a decision they have to make.

Like quite a few others, he has checked out.

We need a change of coaching staff to try to get a number of these guys back near where they were. It’s not making excuses for them but sometimes everyone just needs a fresh start.

I remember reading something on Twitter about him having a friend that died in the offseason and it seems to have really effected him. Can't find the tweet though.

There's plenty of blame to go around for the debacle this team turned out to be. I'm wondering if Jackson had to hedge on instinct to compensate for poor ILB (Trevathan) & Nickel back failures in coverage? Jackson has still had some bonehead stuff though...

Trevathan isn't bad in coverage if he isn't being mismatched against players who are twice as fast as he is.

Woah someone agrees with me.

Yes, pagano isn't a great defensive playcaller, but the talent on this defense is lacking.

I have no idea what the fuck happened to eddie jackson. Seriously. He went from a top 5 safety to a bottom 5 safety in the league, all in basically one offseason.
They came into the season widely regarded as one of the most talented defensive groups in football. It's ridiculous to say a defense consisting of Mack, Hicks, Fuller, Jackson, Roquan Smith, Danny Trevathon, and Robert Quinn is not talented. Literally zero people had this thought before the year started.
