I have some hope that EJ's career can be revived, because his problems don't appear to be physical. It's not like we're discussing someone slowed by an injury that won't ever regain his speed or quickness, or someone to short, etc.

That being said, I am very cautious with any optimism. But like you, I feel that if EJ doesn't turn it around, at least we'll move on.

Disagree. He is not a physical safety and doesn't tackle well. He is better in a traditional FS role where he can cover the field opposed to a SS.

Edward Jackson is literally the dictionary defined definition of what Eberflus means when he calls a player a "loaf" and he will not make it through training camp if he doesn't literally take the bull by the horns and look at this season as a season of siezing the opportunity towards resurrection of his career.

Agree, he he has said and demonstrated as much. He has zero interest in playing near the LoS and providing run support. He wants nothing more than to be free to look for cherry pick INT's and maybe push guys out of bounds as long as there is no chance at getting a hangnail.
