A generic Republican candidate leads President Obama by five points in a hypothetical 2012 matchup for the week ending Sunday, October 23.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds the generic Republican earning 46% support, while the president picks up 41% of the vote.

We are still hoping for John J Generic to opt to run for office instead of these morons (except Ron Paul but even I know he has a snowball's chance in hell of winning the primary though he did say soemthing stupid a few weeks back)

Epic fail. Put a name to the opposing candidate then we'll talk. Right now you're comparing a man vs. an unacheivable political ideal (there's no such thing as a perfect democrat or republican--everyone who identifies with a political party strays from that ideal somewhat).

Obsessed because our country is disappearing before our eyes and under his leadership. We are descending into chaos with division amongst our citizens being promoted in D.C. I just wish others would open their eyes and see how they are pushing us into a socialistic society. The Haves will always be there but the Have Nots are growing with government implying they will take care of the Have Nots and everyone else is evil. Our citizens are buying into it and I even see it here.

I am very concerned.

IHF wasnt bashing, he was merely posting a poll.

Anytime someone posts an opposing viewpoint of the current administration doesnt mean its bashing.

and theres plenty of name calling and laugh fests at the republican candidates to even it out even if he did just post an obama sux thread.

As you should be. You act like a Republican is going to fix shit. Not very likely.

Again, I am not a registered party voter but you can tell which way I lean. My point is, I want anyone else that has a chance to take out Obama and Reid in the next election. I don't buy into the mentality that no one can make a difference.

It doesn't matter if you are or not. You're rooting for a party that doesn't exist. There is no taking sides, there are no sides to take. It's one party and you and everyone else isn't a part of it. They care about you only enough that you believe in that illusion.

A generic Republican candidate now holds an eight-point advantage over President Obama in a hypothetical Election 2012 matchup for the week ending Sunday, December 4. This is the largest gap measured between the two since early September.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds the generic Republican earning 49% support to Obama's 41%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and seven percent (7%) are undecided.

49% support Generic Republican. A candidate that does not exist.

41% support Obama.

Are the 3% that prefer another candidate the only ones supporting Republicans that are actually running?

Anyone but Romney (who is Obama-lite) or Obama. Romney is my least favorite repub. All of them have said at least one thing I liked (most followed it with something fucking Special person) except Romney he is yet to say a damn thing I like.

Romney hasn't said a thing. He's shut up and let others self-implode and they've done a good job so far.

Any way you slice it, The democrat candidates and the republican candidates for congress and the presidency will continue to push this country to hell in a handbasket.

I hope not. I thought I missed his dumb posts when he was first banned, but his second stint I couldn't take, so I am glad he got the boot again.
