I actually never did this, but now I will:

Lineup:
1) Castro SS
2) Rios CF
3) Konerko 1B
4) Ramirez 3B
5) Soriano LF
6) Soto C
7) Ramirez 2B
8) Colvin RF

Starting rotation:
1) Buehrle
2) Zambrano
3) Peavy
4) Dempster
5) Danks

Bullpen:
Closer: Marmol
RP: Marshall
RP: Wood
RP Thorton
RP: Sale
RP: Cashner
RP Crain

Bench:
C: AZ
OF: Quentin
OF: Pierre
IF: Baker
IF: Vizquel (veteran presence) - Agreed
IF for AL or playing AL; DH Adam Dunn.

This is my fast one...thoughts?

this is the best one Ive seen, I'd change the rotation tho,

Starting rotation:
1) Zambrano
2) Buehrle
3) Peavy - Based on past
4) Danks
5) Dempster

Same pitchers are in it though. Same, I picked Peavy based on past. I also had Demp 5th but as you can see the rotation switches back and fourth from sox cubs sox cubs sox.

Its sad that between the 2 teams u can piece together a decent outfield, I wouldnt be super comfortable with Colvin out there as a starter, but i can see the POV on Pierre

I know what you mean, sadly. But I do have faith in Colvin.

Really? Soriano isnt a leadoff hitter, the Cubs dont bat him leadoff, no speed.
Castro is not better than Ramirez, give him some more time, then well talk.
Brent Morel has barely play in the MLB, also give him some time

neither is Soriano

:obama:

I already explained that all I did is move from LF to RF and 3B to 1B the C and P. That wasn't an actual lineup.

BA is a small difference, as castro OBP is better by a better margin, but I will take the power numbers and alexeis defense

I will take homerism and the future over Alexei. :)

Then put Colvin in for Fukudome.

Except Colvin isn't better than Fukudome...

Saber sucks, but don't let CO know I said it. New Saber stats replace old ones every so often. They aren't good enough for me. I think Sori's bat is more powerful, and would want Pierre off the bench so he can pinch run or something,

And IK Danks is better than Cashner, but I think it is always good to have 1 rookie starter.

How does Saber suck then? I would love to hear your argument defending it.

How can you even say Cash>Danks? You have to take Danks alllll dayyyyyy

Maybe because I was intentionally being a homer?

Here is what my team would look like:

C Soto
1B Dunn
2B Alexei
SS Castro
3B Rami
LF Pierre. If we can spend, it's Soriano. But he makes too much
CF Byrd
RF Colvin. If we can spend, it's Dome. But the difference between Dome and Colvin isn't worth the 13 million.
DH Quentin

Line up would be something like

Alexei
Castro
Soto
Dunn
Rami
Quentin
Byrd
Colvin
Pierre

Then the pitching staff would be:

Floyd
Dempster
Danks
Wells
Jackson

With the bullpen being

Marms- CL
Thorton - SU
Wood - SU
Marshall - MR
Sale - MR
Santos - MR
Cash Money - LR

With a bench of:

Wellington Castillo - C
Brandon Guyer - 4OF
Beckman - UINF
DeWitt - UINF
Baker - CINF/COF

Something like that...

1 Question, why Dunn at 1B and Quentin as DH instead of Konerko and Dunn?
